John Wick 2 has even more headshots
I'm a big sucker for action flicks, but at the same time I'm snobby enough of a movie goer that I want decent quality and a competent story. Fast and Furious is probably the bottom line which I would still be willing to pay to watch an action movie. smile
I loved the first John Wick movie mainly because it had great set design and filming that usually don't belong to an action movie, and the delivery of the character's history through everyone but the main character was interesting, as well as the silly world of underground assassins with their rules and codes.
Part 2 was exactly on par of what I expect of the same team. It felt like an extension of the first movie. While filming and location was a step up from part 1, it can't be helped that then there's no more lore and mystery behind the main character, it's hard to be as involved as part 1.
Overall John Wick 2 was exactly what I expected of a sequel. It is solid and fun, though it didn't break new grounds in storytelling. Those who love part 1 will see this without my recommendation. Those who don't like seeing headshots should stay clear. smile
