Well, here I am, sitting at my often unreliable computer (the damn thing froze up on me within ten minutes of startup, and I'm just hoping it's stable enough now for me to finish writing this entry), drinking the first of what will probably be at least two if not three Foster's oil cans... so that probably tells all that needs to be said about my day today. xp

Actually, I did get to see her, but my plans were cut short by her mentioning, before I could even ask if she wanted to go out tonight, that she planned to go right home after work and watch Sommersby. I suppose I could've taken this as an opportunity to suggest I might like to come over and watch the movie with her; but I detest Richard Gere, so I opted not to. Then I found out she'd already seen the movie I was planning to ask her to see with me (The Devil Wears Prada), and that she was trying to get another male friend to go see Superman Returns with her in IMAX, though it was pretty clear this guy's not a romantic prospect (he's already got a girlfriend, who apparently objects to him going out with a female friend to a movie... gee, I wonder why? xp )

But I'm also not very depressed, because she seemed happy that I'd stopped by to talk to her, and just seeing her for a little while brightened my day immensely. So even though I'm not doing what I'd hoped to tonight, I'm pretty upbeat. biggrin
