Who the hell gave 'them' permission to make a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's movie? Certainly not we children of the 80's who made those sewer-dwelling humanoids infamous! It's not even going to utilize Jim Henson's puppetry, it is going to be Computer Generated! It's a defamation of an institution, that's what it is. Historically and philosophically speaking, the TMNTs need to remain as they were intended: In 2D. Now, I accepted the original puppets, we all did, because they were the height of cool, not because there wasn't enough computing power to make the film otherwise!
Puppets are a lost artform, the stuff of 4:20 Adam Sandler ballads and The Dark Crystal, and I understand the need for technology to move ahead, really I do, but who the hell gave anyone permission to slap tradition in the face just to crank out a 2008 blockbuster that will probably appeal to about .9% of the Turtles' ORIGINAL target audience?
Now that I got that out of my system... cheese_whine ... Death to Computers!
Er.... maybe not.
