A teenage girl was walking down the street towards her school with a tired expression. She yawned as she remembered how badly she slept that night and the strange dream she had.

As her memory was replaying the dream, a car sped past her and the men in it whistled and said a few remarks that weren't called for. "Damn Americans," she mumbled to herself in Japanese. "They just love staring at random teenage girls in their school uniforms," she said while slapping some dirt off the skirt of her uniform.

"You can say that again Sakura," someone said behind her back. "Oh! Hi Kira," Sakura said to her red-headed and green-eyed best friend.

"Are you okay? You don't seem like your usual happy self," Kira said to Sakura as they started to walk.

"I just didn't sleep too well," Sakura said.

As they continued to walk, a car pulled up to them and the person who was driving it was her boyfriend, Chase Nishimura.

"You ladies need a ride?" he asked.

"I think that's a good idea; if we keep walking, Sakura's gonna fall asleep in midstep," Kira said as she walked towards the rear passenger door.

After Sakura sat down in the front passenger seat, gave Chase a kiss, and strapped her seat belt, they drove off. When they reached the front of the school, Sakura gave Chase a kiss and got out. "You coming Kira?" Sakura asked.

"I need to talk to Chase first I'll be there soon," Kira answered.

Sakura shrugged her shoulders and turned to the school to go to her first class, English.

When class was about to start, Sakura was in her seat waiting for Kira to walk through the door at the last minute like she usually does. When Kira walked through the door, Sakura was surprised that she was early!

Seeing Kira blushing drasticly and breathing deeply just made her think that she ran.

LATER THAT NIGHT...

As Sakura was waiting for Chase to pick her up for their date, she checked the time.

"9:30. He's an hour late," Sakura said annoyedly. After another hour passed, Sakura decided to go to Chase's house and see if he was home.

When she reached his house and noticed that his car was still in front of the house, Sakura's blood started to boil furiouly at the prospect that he had forgotten about her. The front door was unlocked, his parents weren't home, and apparently he was still upstairs, judging by the lights on in his window.

Sakura snuck up to Chase's room with the stealth of a master thief in high heels and a dress. When she reached his door, she burst right through and, when greeeted with what awaited her, was too stunned to speak.

Chase was lying in his bed and had just broken a very passionate kiss with the last person Sakura expected him to be with: Kira.

Tears started to well up in Sakura's blue eyes with pain. Chase got up to try and explain, but Sakura slapped him across the face and ran out of the house. She ran home crying and hoping that Chase and Kira were mercilessly killed.

When she reached her house she ran through the front door, towards her room, and fell onto her bed as she cried herself to sleep. As she dreamt of what she had just seen, it all faded to black.

In the distance, a white light appeared and figure appeared out of it, the figure was actually a boy with black hair and black eyes. He held out his hand to help her out of the darkness. When she was in the light, she felt happy. Not because of the light, but because of the boy. She felt like she could truly trust him with anything.

Just then, two small balls of light appeared above them and a hand reached out of the darkness, grabbed the boy, and tried to pull him into the darkness. When he was half way into the darkness, the ball of light entered his heart. When that happened half of his body was in darkness and the other half in light, leaving him in limbo. She watched all of this with horrified awe, unable thelp but wanting to do something. The light that appeared to Sakura entered her heart once this happened.

With a start, Sakura awoke to see the sight of her father's face. She looked out her window for a moment, realizing it was early morning, and probably time to go to school. After the events of last night, she moaned unhappily and buried her face under her pillow.
