My stories
A story from the past.
Steel looked over the horizon his black shirt, shoe, and hair contrasting his green and brown camo pants. His deep set brown eyes glared at the sun set in the far off distance.

“What's taking so long?” he barked, hoping his partner could hear him.

“What?” a voice called back from a dark hole. “I said, what's taking so long?” Steel fired back to the hole. “Hold on I will be right up.” The voice replied.
A head with flaming red hair popped out of the dark hole. “What yah want?” the head asked a mix of anger, and question covered his face. “I said how fraging long will it take to finish this.” Steel poked at the head. “Why do you care?” The head replied. “Kazuma, I just would like to know when we can move out.” Steel commanded.

“Why?” Kazuma asked still hard at work in the hole. “I just don't like it out here. So what's taking so fraging long down there?” “I'm setting the det. What you think I was digging?” Kazuma jested “Yeah.” Steel frowned after being messed with by his friend. “So when do you think you will be done”. “Depends” replied Kazuma. “On?” Retorted Steel “Whether or not this charge sets up correctly” Said Kazuma, His face distorted in concentration.

“Contact!” yelled Steel “Fireflies at 12 o'clock”. Steel continued to say something else but he was cut off by the roar of repeater cannons opening up their location. “Kazuma!” He yelled “Hurry up down there!” “Almost there” Replied Kazuma, Give me a few more seconds.

The ground hefted swallowing Steel like he was in quick sand. “AHHHAHH!” he screamed as he fell down into the dark abyss.

“Hey.” Kazuma screamed in his ear. Light green glow filled the small room. “'bout time.” Kazuma sighed to himself. Rolled to his butt, his hands untied. “So?” Steel said his head rolling to Kazuma. “So, what now?” Kazuma replied a huge grin crossed his face, his right hand running from his forehead to his hair. “You're kidding right?” Steel said his own hand ran down from his nose to chin. “No, No there are most likely twenty eagles.” Kazuma replied eyeing the walls, his hand running over his chin, neck. “That maybe crazy enough to work.” Steel said shifting his weight to his knees. “Fine, on the count of one we do this think, three… two… one! Let's jam.” Kazuma said. Followed by Steel, Kazuma kicked of the concrete floor their feet crushing two E.A.G.L.E.S or (Electronic Android Generated for Logical Exploration, and Sabotage). As they jumped off Kazuma, Steel grappled their feet running down more, and more E.A.G.L.E.S, bullets rain down the hall. The crack of the E.A.G.L.E.S's helmets, and S.M.G rounds firing filled the dry silence. “Now!” Steel commanded breaking the grapple, their feet slammed the two remaining E.A.G.L.E.S in to the walls. “Well see that wasn't too crazy.” Kazuma said his crazy grin stretched again. “Sure Kazuma. Sure.” Steel sighed reaching for one of the E.A.G.L.E.S's S.M.G. “Need a gun?” Steel asked over his shoulder to Kazuma blowing up their way out. “No, but this is like being buried alive right?” Kazuma replied. “What?” Steel said slowly. “Sorry, I forgot you didn't know about fear.” Kazuma apologized. “It ok you just know what I don't.” Steel sighed as he turned around to face Kazuma.

Dust filling the air as Kazuma's det blew the door open. “You love your job don't you?” Steel whispered to himself. The tiny hole had survived the micro explosion. “First one out drive us home.” Kazuma challenged, his grin showing up again. “Remember that last mission we had?” Steel sighed pulling out his canteen, and taking a swig. “What?” Kazuma stammered “What's that suppose to mean? You, and your crazy nonsense. You wouldn't mind given me a gulp, right? “My answers are forget it, and catch.” Steel said slowly tossing the leather canteen to his friend. As he took a drink some spilled down the front of his black leather coat. “You can't drink without doing that can you?” Steel said catching the empty canteen. “No, but it ok I don't need to wash my coat.” Kazuma joked wiping the dust from his black jeans, spiked boots, and opened his coat to show his dark blue shirt.

“So where's the car?” Steel asked looking around for the gray cadillac they had arrived in. “I parked it behind the large rock in the barren land.” Kazuma said slowly remembering that the whole surface was rocky, and barren. “That's specific.” Steel murmured kicking the dirt around. “Just look around.” Steel sighed.

Hours passed, the shade less land decaying more in the suns light. “Hey!” Kazuma shout from the distance. Steel arrived a few minutes after. “So what you need?” Steel said miffed about the lack of the car. “Found it.” Kazuma said pointing to a ditch. “It's buried?” Steel sighed. “Was buried not it's.” Kazuma said in a whispered. “So get it out.” Steel commanded. “It's heavy.” Kazuma wined. “SO, should I care?” Steel shouted back, turning his back to his partner. After an hour, and inventive cursing the gray Cadillac was free from the tiny hole. “ 'bout time.” Steel yelled from top of the cracked boulder, but half his sentence was cut off by the revving of the old cars half rusted engine. “Get in!” Kazuma yelled to his friend.

The bumpy ride to the last outpost of Earth aptly named Eden by its vast flora, and fauna. Those in charge had a rare apple tree, they said to all who come and go, and those who say not to eat the fruit, or it would upset their god.

The ancient car slowly stopped, the two doors creaked as they opened. The red, and black haired warriors flipped the dark black sunglasses they had in their car to the tip of their noses. “So, gas, food, weapons, information, and any other useful material. Right?” Kazuma asked over his shoulder, pushing the dark sunglasses up. “Yes, just hurry back we can't stay here long.” Steel commanded. His partner had already left. “I can't take my eyes off of that guy.” Steel smiled.

Like ever time they found an outpost on Earth they hunted down one thing, and one thing only. The local bar, know home of villains, information, and best of all, acts of public drunkenness.

The slow, sticking wooden door held fast. The bar was different then the other bar scattered around the outpost. It smelt of carrots, and fruit juice. Kazuma still determined to find what he need decided to get a drink to steady his nerves.

“I take one of your strongest.” Kazuma whispered to the barkeep handing him a silver coin as payment. Spinning to look at all the long faces, now knew they missed out when their only hope left. “Here you go sir.” The barkeep said handing an orange drink to Kazuma. Still looking Kazuma took a long sip of the odd drink. “Disgusting.” Kazuma yelled, spiting the orange liquid on a large patron.

“Hey!” the large man said grabbing Kazuma by his neck. “S…sorry I…I didn't mean too.” He garbled out the large hand trying to squeezing the life out of him.

“You have to learn your lesson for what you have done.” The man said slamming Kazuma into a hard wooden table. Kazuma's eyes teared “What did I do?” Kazuma gasped. “You stole fruit from the tree of life.” The man said tossing him into a wall, slow getting over to him telling the other patrons that stealing fruit from the tree of life is punishable by death. That's when it clicked, this man was no patron he was the local Elder of the church. “Crap.” Kazuma whispered, his hand sliding to his pistol equipped with .50 caliber shells. “Stay back!” Kazuma commanded, as he got to his feet the gun pointed at the Elder.

“Where is he? He late. He should be back by now.” Steel said looking at the moon at its peek. Thirteen gun shots rang off in the distance. “I should check that out.” Steel said knowing his friend was the only one with a thirteen shot pistol. The lights in the town started up, yelling, and cheers had echoed from house to house. Gun shots spiked the air. The sulfur smell rained down on the so called city of last laws. “It never works as I ask it to be.” He sighed turning the Cadillac's engine over.

“You stand charged of rioting, attempted murder, murder, possession of a fire arm, and worse of all, the thief, and eating of the sacred tree of life. How do you plead?” the judge asked in a disgusted tone. Kazuma stood his head hung down his face swollen, and bloody from the fighting. “I don't plead, you beg for your life.” He smiled to himself. “How do you plead?” The judge asked again, his gavial ready to summon the guards. “I plead… NOT GUILTY!” Kazuma yelled at the judge in a defiant last stand, the crowed of villagers howled in anger at the argents of the man. “Order, order in the court.” The judge said smashing his gavial onto his counter. “If you don't calm down I will hold you all in contempt. And you.” He added pointing at Kazuma. “I find you guilty; I will sentence you to death by hanging.”

“Great, Kazuma just great. Why not start a fight with the whole town?” Steel said from the back of the courtroom.

“Commander!” Called the pilot. The whoosh of helicopter blade's drowning his call out. “What?” A tall monsters of man said back wiping dirt off of his tan pants, and shirt. “E.T.A Twelve minutes. Sir.” The pilot wailed back, the controls reaction time slowed by the dust, and dirt clogging the vents on the helicopter. “Keep this thing alive we have gifts to pick up.” The large man smiled.

Two day in a small damp cell, minimal food, water, and toilet paper. It was time for the execution. The other prisoners yelled to him as he was walking to the slats “Dead man walking.”

The town had gathered with food, and treats. Children looked on with smiles, raised to like the death of the convicted. “You sir stand here ready to die, I the merciful second Elder will let you have one final word before you leave this world.” The Elder smiled a sick sense of pleaser of killing radiated from his body. “Yeah I do have one.” Kazuma Smiled dryly. “See you later.” But he was drowned out by the old cadillac firing down the road, destroying the legs of the slats dropping Kazuma, and the Elder to the ground. The falling remains impaling the Elder. Steel still behind the wheel kicking the passenger door open for his friend.

“Get in now!” he yelled to Kazuma pulling him into the car. The door slammed shut behind him as the car bolted out of town to the rising sun. The dust blowing by as they head to their next location.

“After this we have to leave Earth.” Steel said calmly driving the car away. “Where to, Sol, they will kill us if we set foot there. Stars end is a mercenary's haven, Chozo is a waste land from the great poison and Earth 2 is technologically backwards. So where Steel, where do we go?” Kazuma franticly said as he untied his hands. “Oh, and how would we get off this rock huh Steel?”

“So they killed some Elders, ate some fruit, and destroyed your fair town?” The Commander said getting back into the helicopter. “So which way did they go?”
“They went to the west.” The last of the Elder said to the man. “Before you go “What is you're name?” The Elder asked. “My name is Dyzum.” He yelled over the helicopter's whooshing noise, as the helicopter lifted into the sky.

If you took the time to read this i commend you if you didn't get out. if you read tell me what you think and don't point out mistakes. sweatdrop they are problems i am still working on.
