Once in the far distant past, there was a lonely young woman. Her only friends was her precious cat, and the sea. Everyday she would go out to the ocean shore and sit in her lonesome, cuddeling her cat, wrapped in her favorite blanket. When the sun fell, and the moon rose, she would wish softly: "I have lived a lonely life, all my life.. You, my sea.. are a true friend. You understand what it feels like to be empty, but so full.. and lonely. Your ocean sprays touch my heart and I feel your pain. And with every wave I know you feel mine, as you drag my sadness back into your dark, cold depths. One day, I wish for us both to live in peace. I promise you sea, I will always be your friend."
Years passed, and during that time, she met the most wonderful man. She finally felt true hapiness. No more wishing, no more hoping. She became so happy, she completely forgot her promise. This made the sea much more sad.. and very angry.
One day, the young woman, her mate, and her cat went walking along the beach. Rage started to build within the sea as it felt the girls happiness. The sea got so angry, it built up one giant, violent wave. As the wave stormed over the couple, the woman looked up into dark, vast blue water and horror filled her face. All her memories of years waiting by the sea came back to her as the wave crashed down on them. Then, she remembered her promise. "Sea.. I'm so sorry.. I should have kept my promise.." She said as she looked up through to the distant surface. "Please.. spare my love.. and my faithful cat, and I swear.. I will never leave you again." She closed her eyes and everything went dark.
The next day, washed up on the beach her loves laid to be saved by passing strangers. Now, a part of the sea herself, she softly smiled. "I've never been more happy" she cried.
