"Don't forget your book. Keep with you at all times!!!" Grandpa said as Chitose ran towards to door to meet his father at the car. "Yeah, yeah, Old man. You don't have to be so loud." Chitose picks up his book. "See, satified? I got it. I gotta go meet dad out by the car!" Chitose opened the door and slammed it shut after walking outside. "I never asked for this stupid book, anyway" He thought. He turns a page in the book and starts to recite one of it's mysteries out loud. Grandpa SWIFTLY ran to the window and yelled out to Chitose. "HOW MANY TIMES MUST I TELL YOU NOT TO RECITE THE SPELLS OUT LOUD?!!!! IF ANYONE FINDS OUT WE ARE A FAMILY OF THE MAGICAL SORT, I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF!!!!" Chitose falls to the ground and doubles over with laughter. "LOL!!! I love it when you act like that! It's rich! You should see your face, now! LOL!" Grandpa looks at Chitose in all seiousness. "Chitose,...do not play with the book in such a way. You haven't even learn to the meanings, let alone translate what they mean. You go turning to random pages and saying spells you don't know or have a clue as to what they mean....You keep at it....and it will scar you badly......" Chitose looked at Grandpa as Grandpa looked at him. "
Don't worry.....I'll be careful....". Chitose ran to the car to meet his father. He jumped in the car and shut the door as his father laughed at the event that had occured not to long ago. "Hey, Dad...where are we going, anyway???" He asked. "We are going fishing, again. But, were not going to the same place as last time. Were going to Gaia's Lakes. I hear in paper I picked up the Gaia's 3 Lakes hold the best fish in value. They expend over our whole life's saving! Get a rare and we could be rich for a lifetime....And if we can't sell it, we can always slap on the table for Grandpa to cook when we get home. LOL!". "Dad,....what's Gaia?". "Son,...I have no clue". Chitose was delighted that he would go fishing. For it was the only way he could escape the ways of his family. Chitose and his dad had gotten to 1 of 3 of Gaia's Lakes. Chitose had gotten out of the car to unload the fishing gear. He had seen nothing. "Uhhh,....Dad...there nothing in the back. It empty". "Oh, shoot! I must have forgot to get the gear out of the house do to laughing at Grandpa. Lol. We'll, at least we got the boat. I'll go back and get the gear. You unload the boat and have it ready by time I come back. I trust that you can be here and behave while I'm gone? You know what happened last time."
-FLASHBACK-
"Dad, do we have stay and fish with this boring crap? It's a stick with a hook and string. We are magical people, for crying out loud". Chitose fipped thought the pages of his book to find a spell in which he thinks will get him fish quicker. "Son, the key to fish is patience. That's how you get the big ones". Chitose stops on a page of the book to where a spell catches his eye. "I got it! Here we go, Dad". "Chitose, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!". "I'll make you proud, Dad!" Chitose recites the spell. "SITH TIMBUS!!!!". The lake glows and blast water, right along with the fish, into the air where they never return. His dad looks at him in the strangest way.
-UNFLASHBACK-
"So, I can trust you here, right?". "Yeah, sure". Chitose unloads the boat and pushed it in the water. He jumps in the boat and flaots peacefully by the dock. His father drives off, still laughing at the Grandpa event. Chistose has been waiting in the boat for some time now. Out of boredom he looks through the book. As he skims though it, a fish jumps out of the water. While in mid-air, the sun reflect off of the water and the scales of the fish, making it glisten as it decends back into the water. "WOW! Dad was right. The fish in this lake are beautilful. I got to catch one when dad gets back". Chitose looks through his book, again out of boredom and then sighs. "What's taking dad so long......I'll just recite spells till he gets back. I don't see what the big deal, anyway. Grandpa was just as reckless with the book when he inherited it at my age." Chitose looks through the book once more. He sees a fancy spell that catches his eye. "That's looks good....". Chitose recites the spell. "RASHO SEN!!!!" After reciting the spell that same fish from before jumps out of the water, scares him off of the boat, and sends him crashing in to the Gaia's Lake.
He sinks to the bottom of the lake and it's darkness below where that fish follows him down and meets him at a point to where it rubs up against him. A bright light beams from Chitose and that fish as their bodies start to glow as they continue to sink. 10 minutes later, Chitose is washing up on shore by the docks. He coughs up water for a long while. ".....W-...what happened?". "Chitose's skin is freezing cold and he can see his own breath in the air. "My breath....But, it's in the begining of summer....." Chitose looks at his body. "Where did these clothes come from? What this on my hea.....OH NO,.....THE SPELL!!!!". "Chitose starts to heed his grandpa's words. "He was right....It was going to scar me......But why I'm I so cold?" Chitose looks through the book and finds the spell he recited translated to english. "Rasho Sen- The fusion spell. Radomly fuses with a belonging of what is touched after it is recited". Chitose it now confused. "But,...I fused with a fish? Why I'm I cold, then?". Chitose reached in his pockets and pulls out a soggy piece of paper. The paper his dad had read in the car. "My clothes changed,...but I got my things still. Now let's see here...". Chitose reads the paper and looks at that selection of fish. He spots the fish he saw as he suck to the bottom of the lake on the paper. "A....Frozen...Rainbow Trout..........I GOT IT!!! I didn't fuse and get it from the fish. I fused and got it from the fish's name!" Chitose had look in his book again. "The power of what you are fused with can be used by reciting the spell again.....I see." Chitose walks to the lake and bends over to get on his knees. He dips his finger into the lake and whispers the spell. "Rasho Sen....." In an instant the lake shines over and freezes into a sheet of ice. "....Oh my....I...have ice powers!". Chitose looks once again at his book. "You can go back and forward between the fusion by reciting it backwards....."Chitose says the spell backwards. "Nes Ohsar...". His body glows and he turn into his orginal self. He is no longer cold. "I'm warm, again. So,...I guess I found my calling in the family....I'm and ice person. I need a name.....Oh yeah! I remember that word and it's meaning, right when we let out from school a while ago.
-FLASHBACK-
"Okay, class. Pay close attention. There is a piont in temperate where it is the coldest. There nothing colder that "Absolute Zero". Now write it in your books. We'll have a test on it, tommorow...."
-UNFLASHBACK-
"I'll...call myself..."Absolute". That's sounds great!". Chitose closes his book and makes his way to walk the long way home. "Grandpa said the book would scar me, if I meddled. I'll show him how "scarred" I am once I get home". Chitose laughs into an evil grin. "I can't WAIT to show 'em..."
