Winter Weather settles in.
A blanket of clear ice and white snow fall upon this dead Earth.
All things freeze that had life within.
A blade of grass, a lonely leaf, or late year's rose doesn't stand a chance.
Winter's Snow Bird flies across a barren landscape of ice of snow.
Her soft and gentle call echos through the bitter subzero morning air.
A sound like snow falling to the ground.
A sound like the eagle's cry barely heard but felt more so.
She perches upon a willow's branch is claimed by taloned feet.
Frost and last night's snow fall from the branch.
No one sees her there...
They just feel the nipping chill moving through their blood and bones.
The Snow Bird calls out to the land before her.
"Hear me! Feel Me!! I am so cold....so very, very cold..."
Anything melting inthe morning's dull yet warming light is then...Frooze.
Ice cycles form along tree branch, house eeves, and anything living outside.
Her blood runs cold as glacier rivers.
Her pale blue Bird eyes peirce through any fog, snow, or warming thought.
Shades of blue, black, and white feathers decorate her large Bird body.
A tail of blue, black, and white fan out behind her...like the train of dress.
There is something in the breeze..She feels it.
Winter.
So cold...
So snowy...
So many silent days and nights...
So many dead things--plant and human alike.
Calling out once again to the dead land.
"Can you not all feel it! Winter! She calls to the land!! Feel her breath of frost!"
Taking off from her perch, the Snow Bird flies.
Through the chilled air--no one sees her.
She lands in a feild far from the life within homes.
The breeze picks up to bones chilling howl.
Crystals of frost, ice, and snow circle the Snow Bird.
She calls out!
"Hear me Winter! I am Winter's Snow Bird!
The snow, the ice, the frost!
The Cold that fills and kills!
Hear me Winter! I am the Snow Bird and Winter's Angel!
See me Earth! See me Winter!
I feel no warmth....I am so very, very, very.....cold..."
The Wolf's howling wind fades away like a breath in winter--claimed by the chill.
Frost and ice dust return to the ground, turning to the fading morning light.
Snow flakes fall to the ground too, now..renewing the fall of last night.
No one see her standing in the field.
Dressed in Winter's silver-white gown with blue markings,
That blends near perfectly with ashen snow white skin.
Dressed in a gown with a train of white and blue stiched as feathers.
A breath of wind plays on the air..
Combing through long silver-white hair that wipes about.
A pale hand brushes a way strands of hair, letting dark blue eyes peer over the barren white landscape.
Of course, no one sees her there in the beauty of the snow.
No one can see Winter's Snow Bird.
She calls out to the world before her with a voice to strang and chilled;
"Can you not hear me Winter!! I am here!
Can you not see me World!! I am here!
Can you not see me Human!! I am here!"
Snow...it falls harder and faster...
The already dipping coldness...dives even farther.
All things freeze.
All living things die.
No one dares step out, their breaths are frost in the air.
Their blood like water to only be frozen in a moment's time.

No one will ever see her cold beauty, it is only felt.
She makes the Winter's chill rip through the air.
She makes the living things-plant and human- shiver or die.
She is cold.
Just as the Winter is.
Forever never seen...
Just felt.
Winter's Snow Bird calls out to the Wolf's howling wind;
"You hear me...You feel me...You see nothing...
I am Winter's Snow Bird.
I am Winter's Angel.
I am....so very cold..."
