I discovered an awesome thing today, courtesy of the Mahora Academy guild! Negima desktop mascots! Little chibi versions of Negima characters with changeable outfits that sit on top of your active window or the taskbar. If you click on them they say things (albeit in Japanese) and if you load up another mascot that they're connected to in the manga they have a little conversation! Right now I've got Akira Okochi, Yuna Akashi, Makie Sasaki, Ako Izumi, Ku Fei, Chachamaru Karakuri, Evangeline A.K. McDowell, Setsuna Sakurazaki, Konoka Konoe, Asuna Kagurazaka, and Nodoka Miyazaki lined up on my taskbar. They're totally pointless, but so cute!

On the topic of guilds, yes, I joined Mahora Academy today. It's a great little guild that's mainly focused on a big Negima RP. I've only just started, but it looks like fun. Except that my character just kind of insulted Evangeline. I'm interested to see how that pans out.

Meanwhile, back in the desert of the real, it seems that my flatmate Liam sometimes wakes up with a strained knee or wrist. We've come to the conclusion that when he falls asleep, an alter-ego awakens and leaves the flat to do battle with evil. In Liam's own words, "I keep Buggery Bridge free of buggery." I feel safe knowing that a crime-fighting superhero lives two doors down. We need to come up with a name for him!
