I think I may have been to Forbidden Planet too often. I bought Chobits Volume 7 there today, and the girl at the counter pointed me to a statue of Chi, one of the central characters, that they have in a glass case of collectibles. It's a lovely statue mind you, I'd love to buy it, but it's £60.

Then again, maybe she only recommended it because the manager was whispering something to her while she was serving me! That makes more sense, but part of me likes to think that businesses recognise me and see me as a valued customer! Well, it was volume 7 I was buying. I doubt they'd suggest it to someone who was new to the series.

I actually dragged a bunch of people into FP this time. I just wanted to see if Gollancz had released the next Rurouni Kenshin! And I have this thing about forcing my interests on other people!
