Now I sit upon the ground,
A flower lying in my hands,
All about me, scattered petals,
A game I have seen so many times.
But my words are changed,
My purpose different,
From those I have seen,
Who play the game.
The wind, it blows,
A hundred petals dance away,
Dance away into the skies,
And I whisper,
She sees me not,
She sees me not…
And yet more petals dance,
Dance away into the sky.
Now in my hand the flower lays,
Three petals are all that’s left.
Now I wonder, is it true?
Will you see me?
Or will these last petals fall,
Fall away into the sky,
Never to be seen again…
