Chapter 1: first day, of story number 22 |

When the limo finished the six hour drive to the academy, somehow it played the same music that Matt liked. after the limo stopped the door opened and Matt's baggs were on the ground waitting for him. Matt hadn't seen a person pass by his window or the window on the other side. Matt didn't care he was tired. After getting out he grabbed his baggs and walked to the twenty foot gateway styled door, a boy with brown hair, and green around Matt's age stood there almost waitting for Matt.
"Welcome!" The boy said with a almost unsetteling cheerfulness. "My names is Jay." the cheerfulness was gone his voice was normal.
"What was that wierd welcome for?" Matt asked as he got in front of Jay running a single hand through his copper hair, his geographical eyes shifted from hazel to blue eyes when they settled down they focused on Jay's eyes.
"Its for the new kids it a rule to test their common sense." Jay replied "You passed you know so, welcome." Jay added with a smile.
As Jay lead Matt into the academy the walls were red wood with painttings of landscape he had never seen, most likely fictional. there were kids older and a bit younger then Matt running around. A large banner read Welcome to Kenzer a large stone stair case lay in the middle of the room the building was three floors high.
"You my friend have only one test left." Jay started a interlude before his final message. "Your last test it the hardest, because your sixteen." Jay continued to lead past the stairs, the hallway was empty now, they entered a door with a sign that read Storage room. Once inside Matt saw a wonderful sight there were no mops or brooms, books or school supplies, but a array of swords, staffs, maces and even a few bows and arrows.
"Take one." Jay said. Matt looked at the bows, range was not Matt's friend he had tryed to do archery in middle school, but he always missed. Matt then looked at the maces after trying to lifft one, but it was too heavy. the next weapon he looked at was a staff it was long, and took a lot of skill from swining it the wrong way. the last weapon was a array of swords from double edged to the simple katana. After a few minutes of liftting a double blade sword and a katana with a dragons head carved onto the handle.
"I'll go with this one." Matt said holding the katana over his head, the room started to distort. Jay was gone and Matt was alone in a large arena, soon more kids appered some with swords, bows, staffs and one kid held a large mace.
"Welcome kids, this is the head master of Kenzer academy." A booming voice said was roaring cheers eruppted from all around. "You kids in the arena will fight a rare treat, a tiny hord of imps." the announcer like voice added.
The other kids formmed into a circle, Matt stood by the only other kid not in the circle.
"My name is Matt, whats yours?" Matt asked to the kid holding the mace.
"Its Jack." The boy said takeing off a black baseball cap off his head his dark brown hair was all messed up sticking in every direction, he repaced the cap on backwards, his black shirt rested unevenly on his body, his light blue jeans hanged on his wist by a belt with steel studds. Ten Imps walked out of a door a few yards away from Matt, and Jack. after the imps spotted the kids what looked like a hundred imps ruptured from the door. Jack broght his mace down from behind his back crushing the first imp. Matt's balde cut the second the two men were surrounded. dozens of other imps charged on the other kids to close to hit the imps without hurting other kids. most of the kids who the imps attacked vanished, where every they were they were safe. the remaining kids fought till they had a circle around them they could stay safe. the archers fired arrows trying to thin the imps from inside the circle, the kids with staffs slammed down keeping the lines, and the kids with the sword killed anything that got to clsoe. Matt and Jack were still surrounded a tiny mountien formmed around them they still kept killing imps after a few minutes of fighting the imps vanished and the arena was clean.
"You new students have just passed your first day. Tomorrow you have to fight alone to see what guilds you will enter." The headmasters voice said at the end with a loud roar of voices and thunder of claps. the kids started to vanish one at a time. when Matt vanishe he reappered in a room with Jack, there were two beds and a meal of warm soup. after the meal Jack and Matt went to bed, as Matt settled into the bed he fell asleep.
