As a college student, I have been able to access facebook for quite some time now.
However, as a proud Gaian, I have avoided doing so. Facebook is just an uppity version of MySpace. It's really no safer, you just get to narrow it down to other college students/alumni...And I really don't want some of those people knowing where I am. But recently mys sister, who was once a proud Gaian herself, shanghaied me into actually setting up an account.
...And I really don't care about it. I mean yeah, you can look up all sorts of info about your friends, but anyone can look at all your info too. And I really don't get the point. If your friends want you to know something, they should tell you, not post it for the entire collegiate universe to see. It's just so...superficial.
But since everyone I knows uses it, and refuses to join Gaia because it's "made for little kids" then I suppose I'll continue.
