In eternal slumber she rests,
Her face is made of glass,
Face up in her tomb,
Lying beneath the grass.
Gone is the color of her blush,
The smile painfully dies,
For she lays there now,
Because of man's deceit and lies.
Alas, the beauty does not decay,
Even as her heart grows cold,
Still her lips remain red,
As far as the tales are told.
Night wind caresses the stream,
Her hair drapes the moon,
Cascading in dark locks reflecting its gleam,
Her redemption might never come.
He who has put her there,
Should but watch his back,
For she comes with a vengeance,
And his head goes slack.
Dragged to the gates of judgment,
There they shall reunite,
Bound by hatred,
The flames of hell ignite.
Notes: Is it strange to be inspired to write a poem when one is feeling the negative energy at its depth? I choose to express my feelings in rants, poems, and even drawings. It's therapeutic in a sense and I feel better after I've finished.
This poem I've made last year. The file is still in my computer though I have this fear that it might suddenly be eradicated by some virus or if the PC crashes.. so I've decided to post it.
This feeling of betrayal came from a friend. Not necessarily a lover as my poem depicts. I guess it's true what they say-- the closer the person is to your heart, the more harsh they can hurt you. I'll be completely honest, I'm not a forgiving person. I'm nice enough on the surface but once that person gets on my bad side, it will take a lot just to forgive him/her. It's one of the bad traits I have... but a lot of people have their bad sides and some of which are not even aware of it.
