~The Jewel~ (a.k.a. some poem I did in English)
Upon the cliff, there stood a lass.
Her hair long and gold.
She wore a jewel around her neck,
Or so the story told.
There she waited, for ten long years
For the one that she called “honey.”
He left his darling, lovely dear
And went off in search of money.
Every day, there was the lass,
Who looked upon the sea.
The water was as calm as glass,
And went on for eternity.
A letter, one day soon, arrived
As she stood above the shore,
Saying that her love had died
And would return nevermore.
She took the jewel into her hand,
And in the other held a knife.
The jewel was tossed across the land
As she took her life.
There, she inhaled one last breath
And shouted her love’s name.
Forever now, trapped in death,
But feeling no more pain.
The jewel she tossed into the sea
Sank deep down into its sand.
Laying there eternally
In the sunken land.
Separated from the jewel
That bore her old love’s name.
It would be spared from here on out
From the burning of hell’s flame.
