Greek Gods
If you know the anime Black Cat, this might explain a few things.
( note: Hades is the name of Train's revolver and Kronos is the name of the organisation Train works for. )

Zeus:
The most powerful Greek God was Zeus. He was the king of the gods, fierce, feared, all powerful and very strong. According to ancient myths he was one of the sons of the god Kronos. The stories say that Zeus and his brothers Poseidon and Hades killed their father and split his kingdom. Zeus took the land, Poseidon the sea and Hades the underworld. Nobody dared to upset Zeus, he had been known to hurl thunderbolts in a bad mood. Zeus lived on Mount Olympus, his wife was Hera and he was father to Apollo, Dionysus and Athene.

Poseidon:
Zeus' brother Poseidon was the god of the sea. He was always portrayed rising from the sea with a trident. Poseidon was a dreadful enemy. The only way to travel around the area which is basically a huge group of islands, is by boat. To upset Poseidon was to guarantee disaster to any sea journey one might make.

From the split Athene jumped out fully grown, armed and ready to fight.

Apollo:
Apollo was twin brother to Artemis and Zeus' son. He was the god of sun, light, music and truth. He also controlled science, healing and poetry. His was the oracle at Delphi, he claimed it after killing a python which was sheltering there.
