Cold fusion occurs at much, much colder temperatures than standard fusion. Contained in a highly ionized heavy water (deuterium oxide) substance with a massive palladium cathode core. Essentially a massive radioactive battery, the cold fusion reactor generates nearly as much energy as standard fusion reactors without relying on thermonuclear dynamics, thus staying within room temperature conditions. The ionized chamber generates high amounts of electricity. The reactor is covered with radiation-shielding materials like lead, tin, steel and tantalum-composite metamaterials, along with polythylene; although, the particle fields that surround it are enough to stop any kind of radiation from seeping through.

The Higgs-boson drive of the ship is not only its primary STL propulsion method, it is basically the ship's gravitational manipulation cornerstone. The Higgs-Boson Drive handles the ship's gravitic acceleration, the ship's internal artificial gravity and the fold generator's spatial fields. By diminishing or increasing sub-atomic particle interaction with Higgs-particles, the Higgs-boson Drive is capable of leisurely and nearly miraculously decreasing or increasing the forces of mass on nearby matter without hampering its other characteristics. The Higgs-boson Drive on the Angmar is largely used for the purpose of gravitational needs within the ship. In this case, the Higgs-boson Drive Mk II freely releasing and increasing graviton attraction to matter (increasing and decreasing mass' reaction to the gravitational force). Higgs coils located across key sections of the ship direct the manipulation of the field, creating artificial gravity across all decks, and pulling or pushing the ship in any given direction by projecting the gravitational pull towards a given direction. This allows the ship to strafe while facing forward, move in reverse and other complicated maneuvers. The Mk II Higgs-boson generator defers from the Mk I in that it can more effectively compensate for outside disturbances in graviton manipulation, allowing it to be largely unaffected by graviton field attacks or disturbances.
