Stranger looked a bit annoyed as he was suddenly cocooned in black and sucked down into the earth. He then came up right in front of the car doors and moved his hands, 2 fire bolts coming quickly from them, headed for 2 of the goons. He watched as two of the goons caught fire and were soon rolling on the ground, trying to escape the flame. The one that wasn't on fire, stared at Stranger, he knew he was spared for one reason, to tell his boss, but he knew his boss would not be happy with this, not at all.
Stranger shook his head and walked away, " I can't believe that guy called me out for a fight, and doesn't even have the courage to fight for himself!" Stranger was walking to his regular spot, The Pitt, a bar he could have a drink at, and try to find more goons to fight at.
The goon got into the car, somewhat ashamed that he ran instead of fight the elemental. He looked at his dead friends, they were good friends, but casualties weren't news to the group. He couldn't show emotion, he couldn't show he cared, but he did. He was also terrified of what his boss will do to him when he told him what happened. His boss had never heard "don't kill the messenger". He was almost sure his fate was going to be worse then his friends.
The car arrived to a run down private property. He stepped out of the car, nervously walking down the dirt road to the private home. He tripped upon a rock and fell, he was shaking, afraid, thoughts started to pour into his head, should he really tell his boss, or should he abadon them and hide out. Would they find him if he did hide out? He was thinking of his life, was it really worth it to be the messenger, the boss will find out some how anyway. . . perhaps he could fake his death while he went to a different city. . .
It was too late, he had reached the door and his hand had knocked on it, he looked up to the camara that hung in the top left corner of the door, people behind the camara looking at those who arrived at the main door. The door opened and he walked in, looking around for the last time. Two men came up to him, " The boss is expecting you." The two men took him by the arms, pulling him into the boss' office.
" What news?" Reny sat in his chair, his back turned but he had heard the door open. He had been waiting for this news since the 3 had left. He hadn't seen that only one was now escorted in.
The goon shuffled his feet into theground and nervously moved his fingers together behind his back. " I. . . I. . . I'm sorry, sir!" He stumbled over his words, afraid of the consequences he would soon have to face. Reny turned around quickly in his chair, hiseyes full of fury, the goon saw it and looked at Reny cowardly, looking for some sort of mercy. He didn't have any thought that the boss was a coward for not defending himself, and for sending others in his place, he was too worried about his own fate.
" You failed me! How could you?!" Reny screamed, standing up. The door behind thetwo men and the goon slammed shut. Reny shook his head, looking down at his desk, his hands in fists at his side. He looked back up to the goon and then excused the two men holding him. The two men quickly disappeared behind the shut door and the goon stood there shaking. Reny let out a sigh, " Now what am I to do?" He started to walk around the office and the goon, who was still standing in fear. He soon looked out the goon, " Please, have a seat." The goon sat his fingers shaking on the chair. " Kevin has become a pest, he has to die. He has killed too many of my men!"
Reny smiled at the goon, " I have another job for you, grab another group of soilders, and find Kevin, he is probably at the bar he usually goes to. . . what was the name of that place?"
" The. . . The. . . The Pitt, sir." He couldn't help stuttering, he knew he was to be yelled at.
" Stop stuttering, boy!" Reny yelled, annoyed by the man.
The goon gulped, he couldn't hold his tongue, " Why don't you just fight him yourself then?!" He bit his tongue, what was he thinking? He looked at Reny, who was now staring down at him, he gulped harder. " I'm sorry, sir," but it was too late for an apology.
" You know, I have a little secret. . . something no one lives to tell about if I show them, something that can only be matched by another one like me."
" Like you, sir?" The goon cut in, he was confused as to what was going on.
" People like you, trying to kill us, all of us, I have to keep it a secret, and kill those who get in my way, like you." The goon was suddenly uncomfortable, what was the boss talking about, what was going to happen to him? Reny's short black hair swayed a bit, as Reny grabbed the goon's wrist. The goon looked at his wrist, something was wrong, it started to hurt and yet Reny wasn't squeezing it or doing anything. He tried to pull away, but when he did he saw blackness going through his veins.
" W. . . W. . . What is this?! Some trick?! You can't be one of them!" The goon looked at his arm, pleading.
" Keep your voice down, we don't want to draw my guards in here. " He grabbed a letter opening knife and killed the goon quickly. It would look like a natural killing, and not one done by his powers. He was somewhat ashamed of his powers. He was ashamed he was a coward, even with them. He was afraid like anyone else, but unlike others, he was afraid of himself. He was cursed with what he called Dead Earth, it seemed that he couldn't do anything productive, couldn't grow plants, but instead, only kill them, turn them into marshes, ect.
" Guards!" The guards came in and looked at the body, which only had a slash at the throat. " Clean this up will you!" Reny ordered them as he sat back into his chair in thought.
" Yes sir," replied the guards, it was no surprise to them this happened and they pulled the body out of the room.
Reny screamed after them," Bring me 4 of the best fighters, in here NOW!"
