I'm Human Like You

I'm not hard to figure out
If you just took the chance to see
Who I am
My appearance may say alot
But it's not the whole truth
Just step out of your little bubble
And talk to me

My clothes are black
My nails and make-up too
Don't let that scare you off
I don't bite
I, too, wear white and blue

You can label me goth, punk, skater
But don't let that be the judge
Take the time and get to know me
From the inside-
Out

I can be fun and wild
But I have a softer side
A calmer one, if you will
I can sit and listen to you
But part, I do

I can be your friend
And you can be mine
Please just take the time

I like rock music
But you may not
I like to jump around to the heavy beat
And listen to the unrecognizable lyrics
We can guess around

Most of my poems are dark and sad
But that's not all I feel
I just find those easier to express
But please try your best
To not think them weird

My hopes and dreams
Vary here and there
I have so many hobbies
Sometimes they are unclear
I have so many of each
But I'm still human

My shoes are tattered, a little old
My pants even bare holes
My shirts are faded, pale on color
My nailpolish is chipped
And my hair is a bit multi-colored
But don't judge me on that
