A summer full of books... I'm scared... |

School has ended... well, 2 days ago. This is my second day of summer vacation, and already... it's kinda boring! At least I have Gaia and my 360 to kill time, but now my mom wants me to read a lot throughout the summer. Don't get me wrong, I like myself a good book, but she's trying to get me to read the classics. I've read an abridged version of "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens, and I HATED it! I'm trying to get the memories out of my mind, so I'll dwell on this no longer. Anyway, she got me "Halo: Ghosts of Onyx" yesterday, the fourth novel following the Xbox game, Halo. I personally love the books, and think that Eric Nylund is a great writer (William C. Dietz, who did "The Flood", isn't too bad either)! If my mom wuld also get me some kind of Tom Clancy book, I'll read that too. What I read of "Patriot Games", "The Hunt for Red October", and "Rainbow Six" was awesome, but I never had the time to finish them (especially Rainbow Six, which is 1000 pages long... my eyes started hurting after a while). Then there's the Splinter Cell series, which carries Tom Clancy's name, but isn't actually written by him. Either way, I still enjoy it quite a bit, since I'm a fan of the Splinter Cell game series. Well, if anything, you now know what I like to read, so I'm just going to end this entry now...
