Yes, today, March 24th, is my birthday. 3nodding I guess now I'll tell ya'll what went on for the day. First, I woke up. My parents came into my room holding the box for Guitar Hero III (with wireless Les Paul controller). HELL YES!!! scream They gave me a bunch of mushiness, then I quickly got dressed and immediately ripped the box to shreds to set everything up. I put the guitar together, put on the strap, put in the batteries, then connected it to the 360 (as you have to do with all wireless controllers). Then I put the game in... by this time, though, it was time for school, so I put the Les Paul down and went.
Got there late, as usual. Nobody knew it was my birthday until I told them. xd That kinda sucked. emo The day went by as usual, except I constantly told people it was my birthday in various ways. Word didn't get around. sweatdrop And then 7th period came along. In about 5 seconds time, I devised a plan to attempt to get myself some free candy (my 7th period teachers sells candy for $1... and I didn't have $1) by telling her it was my birthday... well, it got me a little Hershey candy, but not one of the $1 candies. xd But then came the surprise: when I went up to get my test (which I got an 88/100 on, which to me is f*cking awesome because that is one of my only classes where I'm maintaining a good grade, not acing it), my teacher suddenly got everyone to sing "Happy Birthday" to me. gonk Now, the door was open and I could've just ran out... but instead, I banged my head against the wall until it was over... perhaps I should've hidden under a table a feigned it being soundproof. 3nodding Nah, that would make me look like a weirdo. sweatdrop
... anyway, I then went home on the bus. Randomly, I pulled out my best senile old guy impersonation about Easter in "the good old days"; completely improvisational. I got many laughs, so that made me happy. cool Then I got home. I ran inside, threw my stuff in my room, and ran to my Les Paul, waiting for me, shining oh so beautifully. I turned that bad boy on and began playing. I started on Medium, just to get used to the speed over Guitar Hero II. Here are my brief views on Guitar Hero III from what I've played:
1. The playlist kicks the living sh*t out of GHII's in my opinion.
2. Medium on GHIII is noticeably more difficult than that of GHII. eek
3. "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" is too f*cking awesome! cool
And that's all I'm willing to say. xd Yes, throughout the course of the day, I was able to reach the final battle with Lou to "The Devil Went Down To Georgia". Total awesomeness. cool After having won (first try even!), the credits came on... as did the game's real killer, "Through The Fire and the Flames". That I did not see coming. gonk I was able to do it pretty well (though the hammer-ons and pull-off butchered me), but my arm hurt like HELL after it was done with... I can only imagine playing on Expert. gonk
In between all the GHIII playing, I went to karate... but first went to my grandparent's house to get my mother a flier from Office Depot. With that, I got a card from the old peoples with $30 in it. Awesome. cool Got to the dojo a few minutes late, but no one really noticed or cared (we get to places late all the time, because my mother has absolutely no sense of time whatsoever...). Once again, I made my birthday clear to people, and got a few "Happy Birthday"s in return. Those semblances of caring made me PUMPED throughout the class! My throat frickin' died out I was going so hard! twisted I scared people. ninja After karate was 2 agonizing hours of mother's errands that I'd really rather not get into... but I had a Subway sub, so I was mostly alright with it (Meatball Marinara with mozzarella cheese and onions heal all wounds cool ).
And so, I am now on Gaia, with this long-a** journal entry... sigh... if only my birthday wasn't on a school day... it likely would've been more interesting... but alas, that's my life for ya. I am now 16 years old... which to some extent also means I'm 16 years towards my inevitable death. Oh well, let me just enjoy my life and my friends while I still can. 3nodding God bless...
... I wonder if I'm going to get any late "happy birthday"s tomorrow? confused
