Vampire Clans (Really interesting...)
There are supposedly 13 known clans in the vampire world, each having their own characteristics that define them. Heres a list of the 13 along with a description of each, see which one you can relate to the most.

Clan Assamite
Sect alliance: independent.
weakness: Addicted to kindred blood.

Description: The Assamites have been assassins-for-hire for thousands of years. This oddly organized clan has made it through time based on how many people were turned and welcomed to it. They were based out of a secret mountain fortress in the Middle-east known as Alamut and are obscenely independent, never needing assistance from anybody else. Assamites are also very secretive, prefering to just get a job done and disappear.

Clan Brujah
Sect alliance: Camarilla.
Weakness: Quick to frenzy.

Description: The Brujah are passionate, and short tempered. The blood of Caine runs hot through them. They can be great dedicated and inspiring leaders...or dangerous angry mobs. A real mixed bag of geniuses an anarchists. Its often hard to predict how a Brujah vampire will react in any situation. They are not an independent clan. They rely on support from others for certain things, and are surprisingly easy to bargain with.

Clan Setites (The followers of Set)

Sect alliance: Independent
Weakness: Can get a high level of damage from sunlight. Cannot stand bright light of any kind.

Description: The Setites worship the Egyptian god Set, whom they believe to be a vampire and the founder of their clan. They seek to spread darkness and corruption in hopes of bringing about Set's return, thus, usually found doing things that people believe you shouldn't do involving drugs, killing and anything else that causes disruption. The snakes are masters of seduction and deception. Setites are also highly independent, being more of a cult than a clan. They prefer to keep to themselves and are only willing to accept those who have the same beliefs.

Clan Gangrel
sect alliance: Camarilla
weakness: Takes on bestial traits after frenzying.

Description: The Gangrel tend to dislike the company of other vampires, prefering to spend more time among animals. Most vampires think they are unpleasent and quite bestial. However, Gangrels will admit when they need something, and won't argue about the cost. They aren't relatively close as a clan, but will get together when the time comes.

Clan Giovanni
sect alliance: independent
weakness: A Giovanni's bite induces pain, not pleasure.

Description: Giovanni's were decended from mortal Italian necromancers who were originally embraced by the now extinct clan Cappadocian. They are very family orientated and prefer to only have a pure bloodline, making them an independent clan. They have strong links to organized crime and a good grasp of the world of the dead.

Clan Lasombra
Sect alliance: Sabbat
Weakness: Casts no reflection.

Description: Lasombra consider themselves to be the leaders of Sabbat temporarily, if not spiritually. Their mastery over shadow and powers of manipulation give them a definite leadership edge. They believe vampires have a place in Gods plan of the world, and that place is to be dark side of humanity- scaring humans into being good, and showing them what true darkness is.

Clan Malkavian
Sect alliance: Camarilla
Weakness: Affected by at least one derangement.

Description: Malkavians are the odd ones in the vampire world. Each and every one of them is though to be insane. But that insanity often allows them to see hints of the future and past that no others can see. They are also known as the 'mad seers' for they are rarely believed. They are not as independent as you might think, sometimes (but not always) relying on traded for the better meal.

Clan Nosferatu
Sect alliance: Camarilla
Weakness: Ugly.

Description: The Nosferatu are spies and information gatherers. Their horrible deformities prevent them from mixing with humans to any degree, so they hide in the shadows, using their powers of invisibility to gather information for trade. They are a vital source to any kindred looking for power, yet are hardly sought after. They are not independent (they don't necessarily hunt for their food), they prefer to trade information for food.

Clan Ravnos
sect alliance: Independent
weakness: compulsive criminals. Each has his/her own 'signature crime'

Description: The Ravnos are primarilly from Romany ancestry, coming from Gypsies, wanderers, tricksters and any all-round illusion casting people. Most of the clans tend to dislike them, they cause alot of trouble. Ancient Ravnos lore has it that Ravnos had a much greater purpose. What ever that purpose was, it was forgotten long ago...

Clan Toreador
Sect alliance: Camarilla
weakness: Hypnotized by beauty.

Description: Toreador is a clan of artists and art critics. They love art, beauty, culture and style. Not to mention gossip. Of all the clans, Toreador retain their humanity the most, no better way to enjoy the pleasures of life through out eternity. Toreador vampires are probably the easiest to get along with, them relating more to humans.

Clan Tremere
Sect alliance: Camarilla
weakness: Blood bond to all members of the clan.

Description: Tremere is the most powerful clan of the modern nights. This opinion is highly justifiable. The Tremere are like vampire witches/wizards (In other words, magic users) they use the powers inherent to vampiric blood in order to cast spells and rituals. These strange and unique abilities, combined with an unequaled talent for manipulation, power-building and deception, have brought the Tremere a long way in the 900 years since the Clan's creation. They are among the most highly organized clans, and their elder is someone to fear...

Clan Tzimisce
Sect alliance: Sabbat
weakness: Vampire must sleep on a double-handful of soil from its homeland.

Description: The Tzimisce are the fiendish, inhuman vampires of legend and story. Dracula was a Tzimisce of the old school. The thing that the legends don't tell you, though, is that the Tzimisce are flesh-crafters, able to mold flesh and bone at a touch... creating some of the most horrific living sculptures imaginable. The Tzimisce are also noted occultists and sorcerers; the rivalry between the Tremere and the Tzimisce goes back to before the Tremere's founding.

Clan Ventrue
Sect alliance: Camarilla
weakness: Blood preference. Refuses to drink anything other than blood from individuals with a particular characteristic or set of characteristics.

Description: The Ventrue are on the decline. Once they were the undisputed leaders of the Camarilla, but the vampires of Clan Tremere have slowly and quietly usurped that authority as well. The Tremere manipulate the Ventrue from the shadows, and the noble, inspiring Ventrue are rapidly becoming obsolete in the halls of power, turning more and more to their other avenue of interest: business and finance. Dollar for dollar, the Tremere are better at acquiring and using power, but the Ventrue are better with money and earthly concerns by far.
