May 23, 2011 Tarot reading.
Daily Tarot reading I did for myself today. I was greatly intrigued by my reading this time. Heres a little bit of back ground info: I recently went through a very devastating break up. I was looking for answers I figured i'd never get and I was right. I never got them. I got desperate (bad, I know) and picked my tarot deck. No harm in trying right? So I did a celtic cross and heres what the cards told me:

Position one: My current situation is The Hermit. It shows an old man with a walking stick traveling down a darkened path with only a lamp to light his way. It tells me that I have inner wisdom at work, trying to see whats ahead of me, but can't see any farther than the light will allow, lost my way.

Position two: helpful or challenging energies comes with Justice. Justice shows a woman in a white dress who is blindfolded and standing before the scales of libra. 2 beams of light come from the scales and shine onto a golden sun. Justice tells me that I am in need of a balanced mind, It will help me make the right choice even though I cannot under stand the other options (hence the blindfold)

Position three: My past issues are represented by the Three of Swords reversed. It shows a heart with 3 swords stabbing through it, in the middle of the heart is a golden sun and a stormy background. Something is preventing me from letting the energy of this card come through freely. The Three of swords means a conflict, ending in the misery of separation.

Position four: Recently behind me is the Nine of Swords reversed. It shows a woman sitting up in bed at night unable to sleep with nine swords blocking the view out her window. An owl stands guard at her window. Feelings of anxiety and despair have recently departed, leaving one in a numbed state of mind. This cards energy is also repressed.

Position five: My crowning thoughts are the Ten of Cups. It shows a man and a woman happily sitting in front of a house on a beautiful day with a rainbow of ten cups going over the house. According to this, I keep thinking that i will have a contented love and marriage. I wasn't sure why this would come up here. So I used my readers hand card and it showed me the Four of Cups. I had asked why I would be thinking of such things with what happened and the Four of cups depicts boredom and discontentment, imagining something better.

Position six: Six of cups tells me whats about to happen. It shows two children sitting in a field on a nice day surrounded by six cups filled with fruit. it tells me of happiness from the past, an old love revived.

Position seven: My fears are told by the Strength card. It shows a woman holding onto the chain of a tamed lion. I am afraid to be called weak, which is why this cards energy does not come through freely, it is represed, however it means gentle courage with inner strength to over come.

Position eight: The Three of Cups shows my environmental factors. The card shows 3 women each wearing a dress coloured like an element. one in red, blue and green. They are dancing over 3 cups, 2 of which are spilling water into a third. This card means wedding or achievement. I was also confused as to why this came up, so I consulted my readers hand again. It showed me the Hanging man. The reason the Three of Cups came up was because I was understanding a different perspective, a self sacrifice according to the Hanging man.

Position nine: I hope for the Knight of Cups. He is shown on a rearing horse all dressed in red and gold, waving a cup high above his head. He represents love proposals, an idealistic young man. Once again, I wondered how I could be thinking of some one else after what I had just been through, I consulted my readers hand again. It showed me the Empress. She stands in a circle of astrology signs holding a large Feminine sign. She tells me of nurturing to full potential and motherhood. Oddly enough thats what I was thinking about a while back just after the break up and how I kind of wanted to have kids at some point in my life.

Position Ten: The answer to my question is the Three of Wands. It shows a man dressed to travel, leaving a trail if wands in his wake and looking toward the horizion. he stands for progress. meaning I will get through this little by little. But what am I progressing to? My last readers card showed me the King of Swords. I must be working towards meeting an idealistic man in uniform, connected to law and government.

Interesting future for me I'd say.

"Hmm, Interesting. Tarot as always interested me, But I have always seen the readings has almost being too vague or open to interpretation which could cause a sort of confused results. Still, I wouldn't mind giving it a shot if I had the opportunity."
