Eiwen lifted a quizative eyebrow. 'What scent would that be? Perhaps I can ask the wind where it came from.' He smirked and his eyes danced with laughter at his little personal joke. Only his sister could talk to the wind and hear it's reply. He could try asking it but only the flames would answer to his call.
He snorted as a bit of dirt in his nose made him sneeze. The pattern of ornate swirls and fae runes was one of the patterns he summoned upon to call the flames to him. He'd left the final spiraling loop out of the sequence, however, so as not to accidently call to them unconciously. He cocked his head and stared at it, wondering if Neira had to draw similar patterns to draw on her magick, perhaps not. She'd always been better with controlling her state of mind, unlike him.
He sighed heavily at his mental wanderings but tried to hide it from the she-wolf in front of him as he came back the real world of the forest. The heavy scent of pine awoke him from his revery and he looked up into the silver eyes of the loner. '...or perhaps you have another reason to be here? Separated from your pack or tormented by your past like the rest of us are you?' He scoffed and shook his head wearily.
He'd tried to escape his own past but since he'd come into the lands of this new pack he'd thought more about what had happened than ever before. What with his sister so close and yet so elusive, the memories plagued his mind every time he looked at another wolf. Memories of a broken family, silent suffering, and loneliness washed over him like a fell wind and sending a chill down his spine.
