it always starts with the speedsters....
in this instance, the speedster is known by most as Quantum. he has the power to run very fast(it's said he could outrace some of the swiftest man-made contraptions, like supersonic jets), to phase his molocules thru solid objects...&form the time he manifested his powers(like n x-men, the onset of puberty usually turns out to b the cause) he has been able to see snipetts of the future...
one of those snippets,which involves a war and the deaths of most of the human race as well as the destruction of earth's fragile ecosystem is looming ever closer,but with so much of the superhuman population, dead,or retired, or powerless;who can stop the comming storm?
other of his visions concern a girl who can be in two places at once&an old man trying&failing to stop some sort of bomb.he also has know for most of his life the exact moment and method of his own death...imagine. no wonder that Quantum seems to have come a little unhinged...with such a weight of knowlegde upon your shoulders, would you remain same&whole?
i should warn you that the shade of adrian voight seems to permiate the latter part of the first book in The Quantum Prophacy,tittled The Awakening...but unless you have read alan moore's The Watchmen that will mean nothing to you.
just read on...it'll pass the time between epps of Heros&it will prove to be well worthwhile.
