Description
(Or) Derek is a being of silence and stealth and a master of fatal strikes from the unseen shadows. He drapes himself in black and hides his face behind a half-mask formed by the specially designed collar of his cloak. His clothes are all spun from the velvety material known as shadowsilk and the odd tidbits of leather armor he wears are magically treated to blend into darkness. He keeps his black hair and shoulder length, letting his bangs fall in front of his face to further shroud his features and to hide his distinctive crimson eyes.
Derek's moves swiftly and confidently, his balance impecible and his form weightless even when corporeal. He can scale the walls of cities and buildings with the ease of a spider and can leap the gaps between rooftops without breaking a sweat (or being seen). All of that, coupled with his ability to turn insubstantial and invisible make him the perfect spy, thief, and assassin, but he is helpless outside the walls of civilization.
Personality Derek is a confident and arrogant fellow, despite appearing to be but a mere lad just reaching manhood. He is very outspoken, but childishly shuns anyone who disagrees with or belittles him. Thing is serious to him, even the taking of lives, and will often make a game out of anything that beings "too boring". He never admits to losing those games, of course. Despite all of that, Melopee, his time-and-again partner in crime, manages to put up with him, something that made Derek quickly develope a liking for her.

Appearance
(Or) Loki is a remarkable specimen of the elven race. He is tall for his kind and he moves with the feral grace of a wolf. His form is slender, but defined by the toned muscles of one who has trained for battle since the day he could walk. He still holds the beautifully sculpted facial features that his people are reknowned for, but his handsomeness is marred by his constantly dour expression and chilling, dead-grey eyes. Loki's hair, which he obviously doesn't take care of, is bone white and grown out wild and long, falling nearly to the small of his back and almost always falling in front of his face, obscuring his features.
There are few times indeed where Loki can be found without his armor--an ancient, battered breastplate that contrasts sharply with a silvery weave of mithril chainmail and mithril-plated bracers and grieves. Unlike most other Valenar elves, the only thing he wears that could be considered "finery" is a blue scarf with an intricuit golden trim around his neck.
As a wolf-elf hybrid, Loki's features are replaced by those of a wolf and his body becomes covered in a thick coat of snow white fur. His hands grow into razor-like claws, but they remain dexterous enough to hold weapons, so he doesn't use them very often. His bite, which is fouled by the curse of lycanthropy, he uses even less. Despite the tail this form sprouts, making it a bit awkward, he still tends to wear his armor even as a half-beast.
Loki's animal form is that of a giant wolf, just noticably larger than the riding horses the Valenar are famous for breeding, with thick, white fur. The piercing quality of his grey eyes make this massive lupine form all the more fearsome. And while he cannot wear armor as a dire wolf, Loki still always wears the scarf.
