Host, I haven't posted a damned thing in months. I hate that. I absolutely despise it. Just what in Khyber is keeping me fettered so? I fear I have lost my abilities as a roleplayer, though I do hope that it is merely just a bit of incompetence on my part that I can work through to overcome. Honestly, this is tearing me up. So I'll be typing up some things here, little tid-bits concerning my characters, in hopes that it will get me going again. Here's hoping.

"Here, let me show you."
Rakashi held out his right hand, palm up and spidery fingers splayed out wide as though he were waiting for someone to hand him something. The sapphire set into the ring on his forefinger issued a faint blue glow that glittered for a moment before fading away. A silver mist began to coil out from the now darkened gem, curling up between and around the mage's fingers to conjoin into a single, shifting shape just above his smooth grey palm. The foggy mass of magic soon began to form itself into a long, slender shape that vaguely resembled a sword. When the final tendril of quicksilver mist extracted itself from the blackened sapphire and melded into the phantom sword, the glittering mist began to condense into something solid.
Soon, at last, the conjuration was complete and Rakashi curled his taloned fingers around the hilt of a finely crafted rapier with a needle-thin edge that almost seemed to fade from sight when moved into the slightest amount. Dalsta just could not bring herself to believe that Rakashi had drawn that blade out of a ring, not even when she noticed the poorly-hidden pride at the feat of magic that lay in the grey elf's smile. When Rakashi held the magnificent, if somewhat phantasmal, blade out from Dalsta to take, she was certain that her hand would pass through it like the fog it had been just a moment ago. But when her calluosed finger touched the hilt just behind the elf's pale grey fingers, she felt cold steel.
Taking the slender blade into her hands, Dalsta found that the rapier weighed close to nothing, much lighter than steel or iron, which to her incredible strength made it feel as though the warrior's hands felt nothing but the air in front of her. Still, she could feel power humming within the platinum wire-wrapped hilt, making her feel as though she could strike quicker and truer than she ever could before. Now, while her left hand gripped the weapon's hilt just behind the intricate bell guard, her right hand strayed towards the curiously slender edge of the blade. It was cool beneath her battle-calloused fingers, the widge of its side not even a finger length wide. But what was even more curious was that when she moved the rapier even the slightest bit, the edge did disappear from sight, though her fingers still felt solid metal even when she couldn't see it. It was truly a remarkable blade, and if the other three rings on the mage's fingers were any indication, Dalsta suspected that he had a trio of other such enchanted weapons.
"This is quite the weapon you have here, Rakashi," Dalsta said, smiling up from the blurring steel into fond blue eyes. Rakashi smile became just a bit brighter, happy to have someone admiring his handywork. "'Think you could make me something like this, maybe?"
