Daisuke walked by Hotaru and asked. "Having alittle trouble, brother?" He smirked.
"Shut up, she just found out we're vampires." I listened in, but didn't understand, I was too frightened, and confused. "Masumi! You don't need to be scared! We won't harm you!!" He yelled. "Speak for yourself, Hotaru." Daisuke said. Hotaru growled at him angrily. "Shut up."

This made me frightened all the more, Hotaru was running after me down the stairs. "Masumi!" I was stopped. "Listen, I know you're scared, but you don't have to be." He whispered into my ear. "And why is that, Hotaru?" I asked. "Because..." He lowered his face to my neck. "I could've taken your blood at any moment." He replied as I cringed. "Don't you dare..." I warned cautiously. "And I should'nt, why?" He asked playfully.

"Because I'll whack you so hard... It'll... It'll..." I replied. "It'll what?" He asked confidently. "It'll make you wish you weren't undead!!" I shouted. "And I'd like to see you try that, but as tempting as that seems, I've got other ideas." He replied. "Like what?" I asked nervously. "Oh, I dunno. I could turn you over to Daisuke..." He said. "Please, Don't." I replied frightfully as I squeazed his arm tightly. "Would you like to go back to the library with me, then?" He asked.

I nodded slowly as he walked me up the winding steps and into the library, leaving Daisuke to the hall. He picked up a large book that he was reading and sat in a chair. I pulled on out from a nearby bookcase and read the cover. 'Forbidden love' I blushed at that and put it back. I went for another book and it's title was 'Love anew'. I quickly put it back again. I looked at Hotaru and my face turned red. Did I like him? I shuddered and began to walk throught the huge library.

There were tall pile of books on the floor stacked up as if there wasn't enough space on the shelves for them. I started thinking of Hotaru again, I loved his messy, black hair and warm glowing eyes. His voice was like a lullaby. I shivered again. I was falling in love with a vampire.

"Hotaru, could you get a book for me, please?" I asked sweetly. "Sure." He replied as he walked over towards me. "Which one is it?" He asked. That took a moment to register. "The one up there." I pointed to a dusty old book that would have been hard for me to reach to make it believable. "That one? Okay." He said as he lightly picked up the book and dusted it off. "Uh.... Nice choice...." He said he handed me the book entitled: 'Death to the undead!!'

He walked off, probably thinking that I was the monster, asking himself what was wrong with me. I sighed heavily and sat down on a pile of books. He must've hated me now... I just sat there, feeling sorry for myself. "Oh Hotaru, I'm so sorry..." I said to myself as I got up and walked out. I was walking down the stairs for a while and opened a door. I walked into the room and saw a candle and lit it to have some light. I walked around, only making out the shape of objects. I heard a hissing noise. "Hotaru...?" I whisperd as I backed against a wall.

I held up the candle and saw 3 other vampires, teeth glistening in the candle light. "Hello there, human..." One of them smiled. I let out a blood curdling scream. One of them grabbed me and told me to be quiet, I was struggling. "Masumi!" Hotaru yelled. "You get off of her!!" He shouted angrily. "You know this human, and you're defending her?!" One had asked. "Yes. I am. She also had that pendant I told you about earlier..." He replied stubbornly as they let go at that remark. "What?" I asked confusedly. "Nothing.... Don't worry about it." He said as he pulled me close.

"Now, all of you. Leave her alone." he demanded. "If your parents heard of this, they would be outraged!!" they hissed. "Yes, but they won't hear about it, will they?" He asked forcefully. "No, they won't." They replied stubbornly. They all looked stronger and more powerful than him, yet he could boss them around. I mean, he looked like he was 15.
