Chapter 2 Continue....


As they arrive to the small town the soldiers seems active. One of them spot the army and saw the banner of the cathedral.
Soldier: open the gates!!!!
They open the gates as fast as they can and a general came out to greet them with a few soldiers.
Captain: Welcome!
D.faith we seek shelter and food for a few days!
Captain: come in.
They enter town and they saw all the people having their life peacefully and Lucian were seen all the women.
D.faith: is the duke in town?
Captain: yes he is but we werent expecting your visist today.
D.faith: we know. we were going to elencia but when we got there we saw it compleatly destroyed and we had to come here.
Captain: oh thats a terrible news... ill send a word to the duke telling him that you are here.
D.faith: i'll apreciate it.
Captain: please wait here as i go to search for him,
D.faith: very well!
The captain head to the manor to look for the duke. he arrive there and head to the duke'e office. a man with an red santi coath was behind the desck, he had black hair and a mustache with a monocule on his right eye.
Captain: Lord alford, knights of the cathedral have arrive in town.
Alford: knight? what are they doing here?
Captain: it look like elecia was attacked.
Alford: that cant be!
Captain: lord d.faith is with them.
Alford: the high prietress Advisor! send them here fast!
Captain: yes mi lord!
He head out of the manor and head to were the knight were waiting. D.faith and the rest saw him getting close.
Captain: the duke is waiting for you! This way please.
They follow the captain all the way to the manor and he lead them to the duke's office.
Captain: this way.
D.faith: thanks!
They enter the office and they saw him waiting for them.
Alford: Ahh! lord d.faith is a pleasure to see all of you unharmed! The 4 horseman of elencia are here as well!
D.faith: is a pleasure to see u again.
Alford: no, the pleasure is mine. please sit down so we can talk.
All of them sit in the chairs and alford saw ashrad.
Alford: ashrad! you look beautiful as always.
Ashrad: ... this isnt a social visit.
Alford: Yes i know! my captain told me of the tragedy of elencia. if i would have know i would have send reinforcements.
Exerion: we just came to rest a few days before we continue our travel.
Alford: Oh yes! you can stay in town as long as you need. Ill have some rooms prepare for all of you.
Chiaosy: we are very gratefull for your hospitality.
Alford: on the contrary! it is i who feel honored that all of you stay here.
Alford sound a bell and a maid came in.
Maid: yes mi lord?
Alford: prepare a few rooms and dinner, we have guest tonight.
Maid: as you wish!
She left the office.
Alford: i will arrange a place for the others knights as well. if you'll excuse me. feel free to go where you like.
D.faith: thanks!.
Alford left the office and brack sees ashrad.
Brack: he doesnt seems that bad!
ashrad: you just dont know him as i do.
D.faith: i dont think we should worry for that right now.
Chiaosy: me too, lets just rest, i beat as soon as the rooms are ready i will call it a day.
After the night fell. all of them were at the dinning room eating. Chiaosy was eating fast and a she had a lot of food. Exerion saw her eating just as D.faith and the duke
but the rest didnt seem suprised.
Exerion: how can u eat like that?
chiaosy: Im hungry! i havent had a decent meal in days!
She said with the mouth full while grabing a chicken leg.
Ashrad: get use to that!
D.faith: certenly is much food you must control your self.
Alford: dont worry! eat all you like.
Chiaosy: Thanks!!!!
Alford: about your problem, what do you intend to do?
D.faith: we are going to report the facts to the priestress. we are going to remain here for a few day and we then continue our journey.
Alford: i see! i shall tell the guard that give shelter to the runnaways.
Lucian: if they are survivors.
Brack: perhaps some of the towns peoples manage to escape.
Ashrad: lets hope so! but that dont change the fact that the town of elencia is no more.
Lucian: we can still rebuild it.
Exerion: yes but i dont think is a good idea to do it now!
brack: Lord exerion is right! we must first find who is resposable for this carnage.
Alford: is going to be a little hard! we dont have a clue on who was the one that attacked or what kindom did it.
D.faith: we will find the one responsable for that and he or she is going to pay for that sin.
Alford: i will do every thing in my power to help you.
chiaosy end up eating and she seems happy.
Chiaosy: im full. dinner was delicious.
Ashrad: all u can think of is food?
Chiaosy: well i cant think nor fight with an empty stomach.
Ashrad: hmm!
Alford: i guess all of you are tired! the rooms are ready.
Exerion: then we should call it a day.
D.faith: yes, lets rest.
Alford sound the bell again and the maid came to the dinning room.
Alford: excort our guest to their rooms!
Maid: yes mylord. Please this way!
She lead the way to the second floor and took them to the guest rooms.
Maid: the ladies will sleep in the room of the left and the gentleman in the 2 rooms to the right. i will come for all of you for breakfast.
D.faith: that wont be necesary.
Chiaosy: You can call me when breakfast is serve please.
Maid: yes milady, now if you'll excuse me. have a good night sleep.
All of them enter their rooms. In the middle of the night. ashrad was walking and he and head to the balcony. she was looking to the stars and she saw lucian with a couple of ladies walking and laughing.
Ashrad: he will never change!
????: what are u doing here so late at night?
Ashrad: Uh?
She saw at her back and alford was behind her.
Ashrad: Is non of your buisness!
Alford: i see that you are still mad at me.
Ashrad: mad? are you kidding? you just got lucky last time.
Alford: Come on ashrad, is not my fault that they aproved the execution even after you were Against to it.
Ashrad: the senate were blind! those peoples were inocent and they didnt deserve to be executed like that.
Alford: o really? they were traitors.
Ashrad: i dont want to talk about it any more!
Alford: Does it matter now?
Ashrad: what?
Alford: elencia is no more! so even if they hadnt been executed they were going to die any way!.
ashrad: every thing is a joke to you? a lot of inocent people die back there and this town might be next.
Alford: i dont think so! and even if this town was attacked it would be a waste of time.
Ashrad: what? you dont care hat happend to this town?
Alford: of course i care! but they will be waisting time here! there is nothing worth to steal from this place any way.
Ashrad: ... you just care for your stupid position.
Alford: not true. i care for this peoples.
Ashrad: yeah right!
Alford: you are just mad because you wanted to become a holy knight and instead u became one of the 4 horseman.
Ashrad: not true!
Alford: my dear! i sugest you overcome that. if you like i can let you comand my army since you have no kindom to return to.
Ashrad: i prefer to be death before serving you. i know who you are and that you are just helping us to stay close to the priestress.
Alford: perhaps! but im a duke and you are just a Knight.
Ashrad: titles dont last forever! honor does!
Alford: honor? HA come on ashrad! what is honor good for? look where the honor got you.
Ashrad: i dont do my work for honor i do it because i want it! for the glory of our beloved goddess blatina. Oh i almost forgot that you dont belive in her.
Alford: Of course i belive in her.
Ashrad: oh... now you belive?
Alford: i dont know what are u talking about.
Ashrad: sonner or later your little russ will end and you will be sorry.
Alford: say what you want! you are lucky that you came with d.faith you know?
Ashrad: i came here for him, i wouldnt have come if i were alone even if my life depend of it.
Alford: better remember those words.
Ashrad start walking away form him without saying nothing more and he was seening her as se disapear in the dark corridors of the manor...
