Shadows Twilight Story - (a part from Xas' past)


Argent saw the lone figure outside, it as snowing lightly. He went out to see who it was, pulling most of his black hair into a ponytail. "What are you thinking that puts such a serious expression on your face?" he asks the silver haired one. The bitten looked down, his hair and hood covering his expression. Argent frowned at that. "Aiden...?" he whispered.

The Dark-One flinched "Don't call me that!" He demanded, pain in his voice.

"Than what should I call you, hm?" Argent asked crossing his arms. "All other Bitten here have chosen their names. While you are referred to by your appearance."

"I...can't" the Dark-One said, his voice rough. he fisted his hand and hit the wall he leaned against. "I can't forget what that woman did to me. I can't let it go. How can I possibly need a name when my past still haunts me?"

Argent sighed laying a hand on the Dark-Ones shoulder. "You have to have a new name, my friend. To separate yourself from that life. Yes their is pain now, but believe me it will fade. Take a name."

The Dark-One sighed. "I don't know any." He said.

Argent's eyes narrowed and he turned the silver-haired one to face him, pushing him against the wall. "Liar." He said low standing close to the bitten. "The name is already in your mind, wishing to be let out." He looked down slightly at the one before him, his arm moved to the Dark-Ones side.

The bitten turned his head and looked away. "No." He said, still afraid.

Argent grabbed his chin and turned the Dark-One back to face him. He looked into the silver eyes seeing doubt and self-hate before glancing down at the Dark-One's lips. He couldn't help it, he stepped closer, his hand still on the silver haired ones chin as he moved his mouth closer. The name in the Dark-One's mind cried out to be freed. "Xas." Argent whispered before their lips connected.

Aiden's eyes opened wide, a mixture of shock between the kiss and the name in his mind that Argent had spoke. He closed his eyes a moment later, accepting the kiss.
