when i was an elimentary schooler, we has My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. that was to help us remember the names of the nine planets in our solar system(not everyone watched sailor moon back then)
of course, those planests were mercury, venus, earth, mars,jupiter saturn, uranus, neptune, pluto.
then, a year or two ago, somebody decided to make us stop calling pluto a planet and start calling it a dwarf-planet xp emo
poor pluto...
anyway, because of this new classification system, we now have 11 planetary bodies in our sol system, 3 dwarf-planets (pluto included) and8 actual planets.
a girl named "Maryn Smith, a 10-year-old fourth-grader at Riverview Elementary School in Great Falls, Mont." has won a contest to come up with a new mnemonic...and here it is:

it stands for Mecury, Venus,Earth, Mars, ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, pluto, eris.
