This is just really a rant, but how can a card game that is ultimately meant for children be so expensive?
Okay, so the new booster set came out, PTDN, and its got some kick a** awesome stuff in it. Literally the best set released in years. It didn't surprise me that the money cards were over $100 on ebay. I can deal with that. But then, this damned Shonen Jump championship came up, and everybody who's anybody is playing a playset of Dark Armed Dragons AND Allure of Darkness. Thats over $400 right there, without even mentioning the people with Crush cards and Gold Sarcophagi. Still, thats fine, I expected that. 30 DADs in the top 16? Fine. But now that that tournament is over, all the money cards that were already expensive have doubledin price. DOUBLED! I'm 27 years old, and my amount of disposable income has never been to the tune of $500 a week, and I'm an engineer.
I just hate how, if you really want to win, you have to spend a s**t load of money. Its almost like you have to buy victory.
A year ago it was the same way with the troop-dupe-scoop thing, but that only ever cost you about $100. You still had to pay to win, but it was more reasonable. Now, its like, with great power, comes great strain on your pocket book. There's no feasible way for me to drop $600+ on a few pieces of cardboard. This last set has singlehandedly caused the formation of a class system in the Yugioh community.
Hierarchies in human society don't lead to anything good; I can't imagine how one in Yugioh is going to benefit anyone..

I don't keep a real journal, so this is where I record my thoughts. Some of it is pretty odd sounding, so read at your own risk :P
