I'm really enjoying zOMG. ITs the first actual mmo that I've played. I've met people and teamed up and actually advanced quite far (I think).
I understand that its a beta and its changing constantly, but the lag REEEEEEAAALLY needs to be dealt with. Seriously, it shoud be the absolute top priority. It takes so much away from the game, that it almost becomes unplayable. I don't know if its the same for everybody, but at best, I get 15 seconds of playtime, then 15 seconds of lag. At worst, I get 10 of play, then a full minute and a half of lag (at that point, when the game resumes, I'm almost always dazed). I was thinking maybe it was because there was a lot going on on the screen that caused it, but then I kneel down in the null chamber, and it happens again. A simple three ring clickety click has now become five minutes of infuriating tempo disruption. I hate that.
It actually wasn't so bad last week. Then the GO staff does an update or something that changes a few windows, but makes the lag worse than it ever was before. Now here we are in the present: the age of my frustration.
This is just me venting. I'm still going to play zOMG and *hope* that it gets better. I don't really care too much about the direction they go with it, as long as I can play in real time. No minute-long rainchecks during which stuff is happening that I can't see (like getting pummelled by buzz saws).
