“Welcome to your destiny.” The man in black spoke. I rose to my feet and looked at him and could tell nothing of his features because of the long cloak. “Who are you?” I asked. “Someone who can help you in this world.” Suddenly, a dark portal appeared and the man stepped through it and disappeared.
I was alone once again, I looked around and saw no one, but I looked to the sky and noticed that a castle was flickering in and out of existence far away from my current location. I decided to take a look around so I jumped onto the rooftops and walked around the town. I noticed that many people had avoided a collapsed ruin of what looked like an old fortress. I decided to take a look because I sensed a strong presence there, and wanted to investigate it for myself. I walked towards the collapsed ruins, and crossed a gorge, until I finally arrived. I walked the perimeter and deciphered that it was indeed abandoned. However I could still sense a powerful being in the area, besides my own energy patterns. As if he had read my mind, a young man stepped out from behind a piece of rubble and began to look at me as if he had saw a ghost. “You have platinum hair like him.” The young man gave off a strong energy reading and had a sort of heat coming from his body. “Of course I have platinum hair, or have you never met a child of the Advent?” I replied haughtily.
The young man grinned as fireballs formed in his hands, and he immediately pitched both of them at me. Little did he know that I was about five steps ahead of him. In about the time it took the fireballs to reach me I had already vanished. “Where did you go?” He screamed. Before he could draw his next breath I had already appeared and delivered as swift, decisive punch that sent him through the air, and he slammed into a piece of stone rubble. The man then proceeded to get up and still want to fight. “Stupid boy I am 1000 years older than you, do you honestly think that you even have the slightest chance against me? Let me answer that for you….no!” As I yelled a ball of pure energy formed in my hand, it glowed with the intensity of the sun and a stream of light began to form from it. “SCATHE” I yelled and the beam shot from my hand and flew directly towards the man, hitting him square in the chest. He screamed in agony as he realized that this may very well end his life. A wicked smile crossed my lips as I walked over to speak with the young man who had miraculously survived my onslaught.
“What do you want with me?” He asked as his eyes pleaded to me for mercy. “Shut Up” I replied, “you attacked me first so I get to ask the questions. Why did you attack me?” He smiled and said “I was told that a man would appear and be able to use the magics left in these ruins and he had to be stopped. And you are the only one who has come here in three days, so I attacked.” The wheels in my head were turning, no one could possibly know who I was in this world, I mean I didn’t even know where I was how could anyone else know who I was? Apparently he was too stupid to plan this on his own so I asked, “Who sent you?” He smiled and stated “I cannot tell you.” A wave of anger flowed through my body, “Then you are of no use to me!” I walked over to the boy and touched him with my finger, and whispered “Scourge.” His body began to shudder giving in to the darkest of all poisons and I stood there and watched the young man die from the inside out. The poison took its toll and only the bones of the man remained. I stepped in what was left of the ruins and focused my energies and a portal much like the one that brought me to this strange land opened in front of me.
