???: WAKE UP, DEFECTIVE!

Brattymatt: zzz-huh? wha...?

Brattymatt woke up with a start at his desk, in the agency that he works at. he woke up listennig to telephones being answered, people chattering about crimes that need solving, the gun range that the average over-zealous rookie likes to impress his fellow agents, and his boss, lanzer, screaming at him and holding a copy of "The Durem Daily".

Lanzer slammed the newspaper hard on the wooden desk, bringing agent 64 (brattymatt) to absolute alert.

Brattymatt: gee boss, i thought my rank was detective...

Lanzer: if you dont figure this one out, i am going to demote you, to the lowest rank of JANITORS!

Brattymatt: I, um...do not really think there are ranks in custodian work sir...

Lanzer: yeah, well, i am going to INVENT SOME RANKS, JUST TO HUMILIATE YOU!

Brattymatt: b-b-but sir i-i, um...what did i do wrong sir?

Lanzer just pointed at the newspaper. When matt saw the headlines, he was glad that it was just a side article, because the title alone was enough to totally drain his face of any color at all.

SAPHIRE SPHINX STOLEN, ARTIST SAYS DETECTIVE IS TO BLAME

The Durem art museum faced a shocking horror this morning, as its prized head peice was taken. The saphiric head peice was so magnificent, jewlests everywhere estimate its cost at about 350 BILLION GOLD. The artist, Ina Echimaru, was in tears when discovering that all of her hard woek had gone to waste. "It was all of that stupid Brattymatt64's fault!" she exclaimed angrily. "what i would give to punish that no good, stupid, pathetic, insignificant, retarded, arrogant-continued on A-2.

Brattymatt lowered the newspaper with shaking hands.

Lanzer: WELL?!!??

Brattymatt: I-I, I will get right on it sir.

Lanzer: you had better, or you will never WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN! NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!
