Another update from 'Eclipsed Paradise':

Phoenix felt her wrap her arms around his neck as he kissed her softly.

She kissed him longingly, releasing his mouth as he nibbled on her lower lip gingerly before he moved to kiss her neck.

He sighed tiredly when he sank onto his knee again to leave his headresting against her chest.

“I missed that.” Phoenix breathed, listening to her heart.

“Me, too.” Nikki replied quietly before he kissed her collarbone, softly
lifting her shirt at the bottom to rub her stomach gently.

She sighed.

“Hold still, love.” He advised quietly; she obeyed as he neared her neck.

Phoenix bit her throat softly, feeling her knot her fingers into his hair sharply as he removed his mouth from her skin; “easy, love.” He urged quietly as she obeyed and apologized humbly for her instinctive reflex.

“It wasn’t so bad, see?” He sighed, smiling faintly at her.

Nikki nodded, blushing a little.

Phoenix smiled, brushing her hair from her forehead.

She smiled faintly.

He nibbled on her lower lip gently, feeling her hold his face and kiss him passionately.

“Sweetheart, not now.” Phoenix breathed as she begged for entrance.

“Phoenix, I want to.” Nikki remarked tiredly.

“You’re still worn from last night. Rest a little.” He urged, pulling away from the temptation of kissing her for a longer amount of time than was intended.

“Love, I’m fine.” She objected, despite her head leaning limply against his neck.

“I’d only wish that was true.” He sighed, bringing himself to stand, lifting her as well.

Nikki hugged his waist, feeling his fingers graze her jaw softly, his hand returning to the clasp his other arm had around her lower waist.

Phoenix smiled into her black hair, feeling intoxicated from taking in her scent.

A loud gunshot echoed into the sunset, making the couple freeze.

“The hell?” He murmured, holding her head against his throat.

“Oh no. Kiba and Tsume.” She declared, releasing him.

“Damn humans,” Phoenix ran after her as she dashed ahead towards the smell of blood...
