Art, starvation, and aimless wandering. Life is good.
Today three of the art classes went on a field trip uptown. First we went to some museum that had a bunch of different ancient statues from China, Japan, and Egypt. We only had an hour and we had to fill out a worksheet there so I didn't get to see much, but they had a really neat sarcophagus from an Egyptian tomb. You could see stains on the inside where the mummy had been laying *awesomely gross*. Then for lunch the teachers had the bus driver stop in some random parking lot and told us to do whatever the hell we wanted for an hour. I followed Rachel and a friend of hers to McDonalds and glared at them while they ate (CURSE YOU, YOM KIPPUR). After that we still had half an hour to kill so we wandered around Minneapolis. I found a used CD store and got 'The Bridge' by Billy Joel for three bucks. WOOT! Then we went to the Walker Art Center and I wandered around the sculpture garden for a while. I took a picture that looks like I'm stealing the cherry off the giant spoon sculpture. I'm a huge dork.
