Have you ever listened to your iPod and hear a song you've never heard before and then fall in love with it? That's what happened when I got today's song stuck in my head! I was listening to my iPod and shuffle and it played a Story of the Year song I've never heard. I got their new CD, The Black Swan, for my birthday and put the whole CD on my iPod. It's not that I haven't listened to the CD yet, I just haven't listened to each song individually. When I first heard the beginning of "We're Not Gonna Make It", I noticed it was pretty and heavy at the same time and was instantly attracted to it. As I listened to the lyrics, I heard that it was a love song. Not only a love song, but a song about forebidden love, kind of like Romeo and Juliet. It's about a girl's parents who won't let her date her boyfriend because he's different colored skin. "they see a difference in skin, but I thought love was always true." I've never been in a situation like this, but I'm a believer in true love and this song was definetely a good example of that. It's a very sweet song for Story of the Year.
