The slivered dreams held within that heart
They once made it sing,
once made it beat.

I could look into those eyes
I could feel the life, the joy.

But... what happened that day?
Crystal tears, they fell
Only to smash into fragments at her feet

A whirlwind of emotion
A tempest of sadness

I could never look upon that face again
And my memory of it fades
She would never look back and see me waiting here

Her smile, her laughter
As my dreams disappeared, they were all lost

How could I ever believe that I
I alone, could right the wrongs of that sad life?!
Ah, what a fool I have been...

A song within the night
A dance upon broken feet

Our dreams are all that we share
All that we held dear to our hearts
Worn and broken though they were

And now I no longer know
What became of her...
