Dark Desires
a collection of my thoughts on life, death, and everything in between.
Hello again, I know, nearly two days in a row of new entries. Kinda been doing alot of thinking lately, god knows I have nothing but time. Today I actually feel like I've done something, like I got something done today and feel accomplished. It's odd, cause even though I feel like I put the day to good use I haven't moved out of one chair the entire time >.< Today I did one of those big no no's and invested in a work at home product. I bought a book called working in your pj's, paid thirty bucks for it and have been reading it all day. I'm probably going to end up returning the book, even though it is helpful and all it wasn't really what I thought it would be. But as I'm reading this book I've kinda looked back at the past few months, the things I've done, choices I've made, and I'm tired of sitting here doing nothing, and finally going to change all that. I've been sitting in this hick town doing absolutely nothing, I've been trying, and blaming my failure on this dieing town, the economy, my father... And frankly I'm done, one thing that reading this book has shown me is that you can't sit around and shift blame on others, if you don't get something even if it directly wasn't your fault you just need to dust off and try harder. Yes I'm in a hick town that has no jobs..... But if I make myself smarter, faster, stronger then the competition I will find what I'm looking for. One thing that this book showed me, which I think I'm going to try and implement, is to set so much time a day aside for working, even if I don't have any paid jobs to do that day I still need to work. If I don't have any paying jobs to do I will use that time to better myself, to learn a new trade or skill, something that'll help me later on. For now, seeing as I'm just starting this I'm going to set an hour aside a day. Tomorrow I want to finish reading this book, then work on a work portfolio and resume. I'm tired of sitting around on my mothers couch, feeling shitty 'cause I don't have a car, a house, a job. I highly doubt I'm going to start working at home, or if I do that I'll get far. BUT I'd rather try this and fail miserably, and learn from the experiences I put myself through then just sitting on the couch learning absolutely nothing. AS I think about this, and the book, I actually have a few ideas that can get me some cash. One thing the book talked about was privately owned businesses being our best friends. Being privately owned they don't have big corporations to do things for them, every privately owned business needs something to improve their business. My job is to find out what they need and give it to them, be it a website, typing, advertising. Even if it's something I can't personally provide them with I can find someone who can and get a small finders fee. Bottom line PEOPLE ALWAYS NEED SOMETHING, therefore even if there isn't a nine to five job there should always be a way to earn some cash.
