Poetry from the Teenage NERD.
Part 11
Bitter sweet
is the sugar of my lies,
coating my tongue,
choking me into silence.
The supposed "silence"
is driving me mad,
off the brink of insanity.
I cringe away
from the source
to protect my own quiet.
The disquiet
is unsettling.
Silence that once reigned
the halls
has moved on,
to the solitary place
in my mind.
In the dark
lies the beast,
ready to rise
an attack.
To rip into the unwary,
kill the unsuspecting.
