You see my mask
what I choose to hide behind
You grab me hand
I grab yours
The lights dimmer
and flare
The music arises
We exchange a glance
Your eyes give a flicker
and your lips go into a grin
I step into you
You move the other way
I sway near you
And you spin me
We sway
The music gets louder
faster
Your pace quickens
We move faster
One with the music
The music slows
getting more peaceful
Your pace slows
So does mine
We come in for a closer embrace
The music is gone, we both stop
I place my hands on the clasp
It unhooks
and the mask falls
