"Welcome all, so glad you could make it
To see our masquerade ball!
We allow freaks of all nature
No matter how big or tall!"
And just like that, a show to behold
As the ringleader set the stage
"If you want to see the next chapter
Feel free to flip the page"

And so it began, and the room was transformed
And everyone hit the floor
And a millipede man stood up next to me
And said "Are you in need of a tour?"
I backed away slowly
And out popped a yelp
But this was a cry of pain
Oh no, not for help
Out of panic, I lifted my foot
And there, underneath, was a paw
"Ow, eek, ouch! Hey wise guy!
What did you do that for?"
He spittered and sputted
Such a dispicable cat!
But so neatly dressed in a tuxedo and top hat
I pushed and I shoved, if just to get away
If only, it was to maintain
The one weapon I had left in this house of madness
And that was to keep myself sane

I fell down a pit
Into the next room
But it was so different
So full of gloom
Their music was dark and depressing
Almost too much to bare
I felt like the essence of my heart and soul
Was just about ready to tear
I felt five icy fingers press down on my shoulder
I thought it would rip me apart!
Until I felt five more dig into my chest
And pierced my living heart
I looked up and saw the girl
Whom was doing this to me
But then she and everyone else foze solid
And shattered just as easy
Soon even I had began to freeze
Soon I was solid as ice
And just like the others, I shattered
Before I could even think twice

As I opened my eyes,
Low and behold
A new chapter of the story
Was about to unfold
But wait, this was different
It was actually quite tame
Am I still at the masquerade ball
Playing that ringleader's sick game
I had decided to forget it
As I began to dance
But just like that the story ended
With a clapping of all hands
I was back to where I started
As the ringleader proclaimed
"Our fun is now over
'Til next year's ball has been named!"
I ended his proclamation
With a "Goodnight to all!
And I hope to see everyone again
At next year's masquerade ball!"
