We've been training for years now we attack
We fight the axis to push their men back
Thunder fills the air clouds now fill the sky
We feel no fear knowing today we die

The time has come to bring war to an end
Our bodies will break, but spirits won't bend
I look above me to the cloud filled sky
I've made peace with God I'm ready to die

Over the ocean the beaches appear
We feel nervous but ignore our dark fear
The time is here we are ready to go
Still our fear makes the passing of time slow

We near the beaches as machine guns roar
Friends die on the beach soon there will be more
Bullets graze us but onward we will fight
Hundreds will be dead with the falling of night

Blood covers the beaches littered with dead
These sights will always be burned in my head
I clench my rifle and onward I fight
I ignore the dead, a quite horrid sight

I fight to kill all enemies I see
Knowing too well they'll fight back to kill me
We fight this battle the stakes we know well
Young man appears and I send him to hell

More men fall dead as the fight rages on
It's true life is darkest just before dawn
A pain fills my chest I look to my friend
He looks back at me we know it's the end

I feel at peace as I die in the sand
My friend is next to me holding my hand
I'm a dead man there is no turning back
I look to the sky as all fades to black
