Unmasking Ch. 1 - Proposition
The door swings open before he even has a chance to knock and almost smashes into his face. Blinking, Tony steps back and stares at the lavender-haired young woman standing in the doorway. She's so excited, she's fairly glowing. As she gulps in air to catch her breath, the black scarf around her throat briefly grows a pair of luminous yellow eyes with which to stare at him. It takes a bit of willpower not to twitch. Ah. Zila. "So you must be Rise. Zoey and Voxden talk a lot about you." When they weren't molesting Zexion, pissing off Xigbar and Xaldin with the telepathic link, everything else...
She just waves off the words. "Nevermind that!" Rise grabs Tony by his free hand and yanks him through the door. In his wake, a few yellow petals flutter to the ground. As she drags him through the hallways, she chatters excitedly. "I don't get to mention good visions a lot, you know; Ana's something of a sadist. The fact that I could even decipher this one probably means it's a pot device..." As they stop in front of an archway leading into sprawling gardens, Rise smiles at him. "It's such a nice one, though, so I can't really complain." A pointed finger directs Tony'sgaze to a certain brunette. "You'll want to talk to Rinoa, right?"
"Er." Tony runs a hand through his hair and his bouquet rustles as he offers it to Rise."Thanks. Rose?" When he walks away, he can hear the prophetess humming. Rinoa looks up when he approaches, an eyebrow rising teasingly when she spots the bouquet (sans one) he holds.
"Well, if it isn't Tony Stark," she greets amiably, hands folding behind her back. "Is that a bouquet of yellow roses for me?" They're both aware of the distinct sound of a blade sharpening.
"I tried to find flowers that could match the beauty of a woman like you," Tony stays with a casual shrug, "but unfortunately, I don't have access to Eden." The sound becomes pointedly louder.
Laughing, Rinoa accepts the bouquet. "So what's the real reason you're here? I don't think Zexion would take too kindly if he caught you flirting so soon after you two made up." Also, I am a married woman in Ana's head and would kick your a** goes unsaid.
Taking a deep breath, Tony steels himself for the inevitable while maintaining a cool facade on the outside. "A little birdie told me you were the person to go to for a wedding."
The world almost stops.
Another muse almost falls out a window.
There are more than a few choruses of "WHAT."
Rinoa just squeals.
