“Papa! Papa!” shouts a young girl towards her father’s retreating back. “father!” she cries out some more, but her father continued to walk forward, they’re distance, growing farther apart. “Please don’t leave mama and me alone… Papa!!!” no matter how hard she shouted, no matter how much she cried, her father just continued to march forward, and finally, disappeared to the horizon.
Lune, lune! time to wake up…
Lune woke up just in time to see her mother leaving the room. just a dream… she thought, and she started to get dressed before heading down for breakfast.
she found her mother fully dressed as she made her way to the kitchen. she raised an eyebrow at her but did not speak, but instead, continued her way towards the kitchen to have her breakfast.
“take care of the house while im away, alright?” her mother told her.
“i know…” Lune answered without looking at her.
“well, see you later, then?”
“okay…”
Lune is, at first glance, a typical high schooler. she is currently living with her mother, who works at a publishing company at day, and a restaurant at night, just to support her schooling. because of this, Lune was always left at home, usually alone but she already got used to it. a slender fifteen year old girl, she is also popular among the boys at her school, and was featured at the school paper too many times. but lacking the tender warmth of having a father, who left when she was five years old, she feels all empty inside.
after breakfast, she prepared her things and readied herself for school. other than her father, school is the thing that she hated the most. she hates having boring lectures, she hates her boring teachers and most of all, she hates her classmates who never fails to make up a gossip or two about her. all in all, she hated even going to that place, and today wouldn’t be any different. she packed her things and prepared to leave, making sure that she haven’t forgotten anything, then made her way out of the house towards the busy streets to her school.
meanwhile, at a place a few blocks away, a maid was standing beside a car which has been parked in front of a marvelous mansion. inside the car was a young boy who is a bit snobbish and seem quiet at first glance. he was wearing a uniform made from a truly expensive fabric and his glasses, imported. the boy inside the car pulled down the car’s window and addressed his waiting servant as she handed him his lunch.
“thanks for this, Nancy. by the way, tell father that i will be going home late tonight. i have a club meeting after school.”
“my pleasure, young master Soleil, i will tell your father as soon as he wakes up.” his servant replied.
Soleil rolled up the car’s window as the driver stepped on the gas. after a few minutes, their mansion was already out of sight.
Lune was about to enter through the school’s gates when a luxurious car pulled over beside her. before she could even say something, a group giggling girls flocked around the school gate, eager to see the person inside the car. Lune, however, made her way towards the school grounds, and then, not a moment too soon, the grounds was filled with hysterical screaming of girls from the gate.
“it’s him! the school’s top ranking student!” said one of the girls.
“i can’t believe it, it’s actually prince Soleil!” said another.
really… Lune thought. what’s so special about a nerd anyway?
