So I am searching for someone who would be willing to do a one x one English settler x Native American or a Cowboy/Pioneer x Native American roleplay with me. I want to play a female Native American but I do hetero and f// roleplays so your charrie can be either gender. I can double for hetero but I would prefer not to. That being said don't feel like you can't ask me if I will double because I very well might after I stalk your samples. I might see something that impresses me c:
I am 20 years old and am the mother of a 1 year old who is the light of my life. I also work part time on my boyfriend's dairy farm. So keep in mind that I can not and will not be posting 24/7. I will post several times a week but chances are I might not find time to post every single day.
Now that the boring stuff about me is over here is a general idea of what I had in mind. On average I post between 500 and 1200 words so I consider myself literate and I am looking for someone who posts about that much as well. I want real pictures only. If I think of anything else I am looking for, I will add it in a new color.
So just post here with a link to a sample(s) and let me know what you have in mind. Please don't pm me. Oh and if you have a link to a group Native American or Colonial Era roleplay then feel free to leave it here as well!
FYI:
I did not steal this graphic. It is mine, I just changed my username and it's such a pretty gfx that I still want to use it.

What tribe would you play? 'Native American' is pretty vague considering there's over... 500 tribes? I believe that's what it was, but I'm admittedly bad with numbers. I'm assuming you'd be playing some sort of Great Plains tribe, and I'm a bit leery on how well you'd do with historical accuracy because of your avatar.
To be quite honest with you, I find your post completely and totally rude. Does it really matter that my avatar isn't "historically accurate" and who are you to lecture me on historical accuracy when you don't even know me or have never carried on a conversation with me? I have been a history nerd since before I even started school. I'm a member of my town's historical society as well as the county's. As well as frequenting all the local forts and reenactments in my area. (I live twenty minutes from the Saratoga Battlefield and I bet that you can't tell me anything about that battle without google searching it). So you sir can take your "historical accuracies" and assumptions and shove them where the sun doesn't shine. Good day! Please leave my thread.

And I find your culturally appropriating bullshit rude because it's racist as s**t, hot damn.
Your history cred doesn't mean anything without any culture cred to go with it. If you knew the first thing about real life Native Americans, then you'd know that women don't wear the kind of headdresses that you've plopped down on your avatar's head. You're spitting in the face of Native culture by doing that.
Through that observation, I come to suspect a couple things.
1. If you haven't done the basic research about headdresses and the proper respect that should be paid to them/images of them, then I doubt you'll be capable of much else. Here, let me help you with that. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven.
2. If you haven't done basic research, then the chances of you playing off the racist Noble Savage and Magical Native American stereotypes, amongst many others, is high.
3. If you haven't done basic research and sure as hell haven't answered my previous question, then I don't exactly have confidence that you see Native Americans as anything but one big monolith instead of a variety of tribes with a variety of cultures.
4. Plenty of professional historians can be racist or say racist s**t despite history showing the contrary, your little rant about how much of a history buff you are doesn't mean a thing. Get over yourself.

Oh dear god you are absolutely ridiculous! What does it matter what I put on my avatars head?!?! I was an alien before and it had really big eyes was I being racist for assuming all aliens had big eyes? I didn't answer your question because I didn't feel I needed to. I understand that there are hundred of native tribes to the America's and quite frankly anyone would be quite stupid to not know that.
Now to respond to what really bothers me: HOW DARE YOU CALL ME RACIST!!! Having racist members in my family I know full well sir what racism is like and I am no racist. If I'm racist then I am racist against the whole human race because they disgust me as a whole more than one single race does. I like everyone individually until that person gives me a reason to dislike them.
Now if you don't mind, drag your trolling butt out of my thread and go find someone else to rip on.
James Phobos
Just because I'm telling something your privileged little tush doesn't want to hear doesn't meant I'm a troll. It means you can't handle the truth. But want to know the funny thing?
I never once called you a racist.
You jumped to that conclusion yourself. I said that historians could be racist or say racist things, and there's a reason for that distinction. I also didn't specify you. If anything, I said actions were racist. Again, reason for that distinction.
I can also see that you followed none of my links- all of which were written by real life living Native Americans. One would think that, wanting to play a Native character, you would give more of a ******** about what Natives think! Huh. Following those links would also explain plenty of the questions you asked me (like why I care).

I'm going to ask you one more time to please stop commenting in my search thread.
I have created a black list and you have been added to it.
Now leave me alone!
James Phobos
I will be more than happy to leave you alone when you can explain to me (without condescension) what my issue with you is, and when you remove that headdress from your avatar/inventory.
You are not racist but you are doing a racist action.
I understand I may not be acting particularly kind right now, but you have a chance to be a better person here. Native Americans are not relics of the past. They still exist today, and they are still being treated as horribly as they were when European settlers first arrived in the Americas. Have you heard of the Baby Veronica case? Have you heard of the Menominee girl Miranda who was suspended for speaking in her own language? Did you know that one in three Native women will be raped in her lifetime, and our U.S. laws have made it so that reservation police cannot do anything against the rapist? All of this, and then you have the people who know nothing about headdresses wanting one because they're "pretty". They want to steal from a culture, ignore why the headdress is so important, and doing such a thing is harmful and insulting to Native Americans. People have already stolen so much from them, and now they want to rub their culture in the dirt.
It's not an easy thing to hear that you're harming someone and that you're doing something racist. But ask yourself something. What's more harmful: being told you've done something racist, or racism itself?

Blacklist:
James Phobos - for creating unnecessary drama and calling me a racist
1. So calling out racism is unnecessary drama? If a white guy laughs and says "Look at that stupid n*gger", is it the fault of someone else for speaking up with "Dude, what the hell, that's a slur"?
2. You still haven't pointed out where I've called you a racist.
