In her usual loud fashion, Zee stormed into the room, laughing and carrying a small fluff like creature that was, for some reason, in a pumpkin costume, in her arms. She dropped the creature in from the couch that Onima and Tina were sitting on and grinned, "I named him Cotton! And for the next few days, he's staying in my room!"
Tina said nothing as she stared off in a daze.
Zee grumbled, and in an attempt to get Tina's attention, she chuckled, "You know I'm probably gonna eat this thing after a few days."
Her gaze finally drifted up toward her sister, "You will do no such thing. Not while you stand under this roof. Now where is Zapook?"
Zee grinned, plopping onto the floor, "She went back to her lab. Wants to do some research. We were out there for almost two days, you nag. I don't get a hello?"
"Poor Aussa has been holding herself up in her room."
"Damnit, girl, Aussa's on the whole ghost thing."
"You two have been too busy chasing spirits out there to pay attention to the one that others claim is wandering around here. When is she going to do anything about it?!"
Onima was still munching away, looking back and forth between the sisters as they yelled at each other, as the fluff on the floor let out a wail, obviously scared from all the commotion. The yelling ended by the sudden cut off of the lights giving out. A glow entered the room, small and shapeless at first, but then grew into the shape of a person in front of them. It was no doubt the figure that has been lurking around the house. The three of them stared at the figure as a familiar laughter echoed around them.
"My my my. A fight amongst siblings? And I wasn't invited?"
The figure took shape. Onima stared blankly at the figure. Zee began growling, and Tina's eyes lit up, as if she were about to cry.
The ghastly figure took the appearance of Lex.
He hovered just a few inches off the floor and smirked as he turned toward Zee.
"Nice to know you all grew so much in my absence. ...'Cept you, Zee. You didn't seem to grow at all, huh?"
"Bite me, you c**k-suckin' Naraku wanna-be!!"
"So much fire in you. I don't miss it. In fact, I never missed any of that feral nature of yours." He grinned, opening his arms and laughing, "How about we take that ferocity away!"
Zee couldn't sit tight anymore. She lunged toward him, just as his image became brighter, enveloping the room first, before expanding enough to swallow up the whole house. All of the spirit foxes that were surrounding, or in the house, took off, running away from the building.
After a few moments, the light disappeared. The foxes slowly approached the house once more.
Morning came and Onima found herself passed out in front of the TV. She groaned as she slowly sat up, rubbing the back of her head as she tried to piece together the night before. A loud scream was enough to help jolt her fully awake.
"Wait...that was...Zee's voice..."
Onima, against her better judgment, found her self walking to Zee's room, only to find it locked. She then went to Tina's room, and found the door ajar. When she peeked in, she found Tina sitting in front of her dresser, sniffling. Ray was sitting on Tina's bed, sighing and hanging his head. He looked up, but said nothing as his eyes met with Onima's. That's when Onima noticed something off about Ray, other than how he was acting.
Tina slowly turned toward Onima as well, who right away noticed what was wrong with Tina. Her ears, her tail. They were both gone. The fur that once covered her face, was now replaced by pale skin that seemed slightly scarred. Her eyes were no longer a pinkish-red, but instead, a light brown. Onima than looked back at Ray, realizing what was wrong. The markings that usually cover his torso were gone, and so was the horn he had on the right side of his head, and his tail. She jumped when Tina's door was kicked open. Zapook was panting as she stood at the entrance. Her fangs were gone, and her pointed ears were now normal. Her wolfish tail still swayed behind her though, and her eyes were still the color of rubies.
"You three. Lounge. Now." Zapook barked, before storming out again. The three of them just looked at each other as you can hear Zapook having a shouting match with Zee in the background.
Down in the lounge, the whole house had assembled. Even the animals, and Whiplash.
In fact, Onima sat to one side of the room, awkward staring up at her own ears that were drooping in front of her face. Wolven sat next to her, laying on his back and biting his own tail. Whiplash was coiled on the other side with Fluffles nestled behind him. Boem, who resembled a real rabbit more than before, was sitting on Zapook's head as she paced back and forth.
"I know everyone's freaking out right now, but calm down," Zapook called out.
Koopling, who was now in human form, pointed at Zapook and growled. "Why do you still have your tail!?"
"This werewolf tail was surgically put on my body a long time ago thank you! It's not something i can get rid of, even if I change forms! Now....Onto more important stuff. Based on what Zee told me, our old friend Lex put a freaking curse on this house. So. Let's just put our heads to...ge...ther..."
A kitten trotted in front of them. It seemed almost like a 1 month old tiger cub, barely donning its stripes, yet had that same ghastly glow as the foxes, and spirits that were wandering around. Everyone watched as it trotted out of the room with a familiar sense of playfulness. Zapook immediately looked at Yinxao.
Yinxao stood to her feet, watching the door way that the kitten strolled out of. "...That...Was me."
