The Diary of a Blood-Stained Jane
entries sent in from the mildly insane mind of an angel coated in crimson~ 8D
Not the Only One.. (pt. 3)
Lestat reluctantly released her waist, letting her walk a few steps away from him. "And you're still as stubborn-willed as when I changed you," he remarked,
watching her eye her sword before returning her gaze to his own.
Ana couldn't help but smile slightly. "Damned charmer," she growled, looking away.
He lifted her chin with a finger, bringing her gaze to his. She had nearly forgotten how handsome he was.
She mentally kicked herself. What the hell was she thinking, getting all giddy and excited for the vampire who'd abandoned her and left her to the world?
"Ana," he said softly; she met his gaze again at hearing that accented voice she knew so well, the voice she'd longed to hear when they'd been apart.
Her knees began to feel like rubber again. She willed herself to stand firm.
Her mind instantly called upon the bitter memories she'd shared with him in the past centuries as his face leaned closer towards hers.
"No!" She snarled, her voice ringing out; swiping his hand away and disappearing, she reappeared by the loveseat, drawing her dagger
from her bag and raising it threateningly at his throat.
He paused in pursuing her, looking at the blade she bared with defensive threats seeming to have been written on the dagger's blade.
"You'd try and do me in with that trick again?" He demanded patiently, scowling at her.
"Unlike that condemned child, I'd burn your body to ash after drawing your blood." She growled.
Lestat scoffed, moving one step closer; she tensed, gripping the handle as a soft hiss began to form in the back of her precious throat.
"Could you even bring yourself to do it, Ana?" He demanded with slight annoyance, meeting her cold stare with an impatient scowl.
Ana glanced at the blade and then at his growingly impatient stare. "There've been too many bitter memories between us, Lestat." She growled.
"If that's your only excuse, I'd relax that blade of yours. Your excuse isn't enough to stake my heart." He advised bitingly.
She glared at him. "You've regretted making me your third fledgling. Why the hell would you try to stop me from forcing you to face death for
the third time in your damned Immortal life?" She demanded angrily.
His impatient scowl melted from his face to be replaced with a saddened stare. "I admit, that my regret for changing you is... selfish, to say the least."
She scoffed disbelievingly at that. "But, incase you haven't been listening lately to the public radio, I have called forth all from the past. Including you."
He explained quietly.
Ana shook her head. "Why me? Surely Louis or Gabrielle will come to you, too, won't they? Gabrielle was your first fledgling, Nicki was your second,
I was your third, and Louis and Claudia were your fourth and fifth. So why in the damned hell did you allow me to come first?" She snapped, ignoring his
slight twinges when she'd mentioned the two dead fledglings' names.
Lestat fell silent, scowling faintly at the blade aimed at his neck. He finally exhaled, his shoulders sagging slightly. "You were faithful, Ana. You are faithful.
You've shared in Louis and Claudia's scorn for me at one point in the centuries we were a coven, but you've hunted me down once hearing I'd awoken to this
new world." He gave a faint, tight smile. "And to be honest, I'm relieved you found me at last." He mused, looking back at the blade as it slowly lowered slightly from
being lifted and aimed at his precious throat.
Her eyes widened briefly before she looked down, at loss for words. His hand fell on her blade, lowering it gently to the side of her hip.
"Ana," he declared quietly, bringing a hand to run through her tousled black hair.
...: :...
She looked up at him, closing her eyes quietly when his lips fell on her forehead.
She willed her legs to remain strong as they wobbled slightly when his lips fell on her skin. He exhaled quietly, keeping his hand on hers at her side and his other
hand cradling the back of her neck. "Forgive me, for abandoning you." He murmured, kissing her forehead slowly.
Ana dropped the dagger, the blade clattering on the tile with a resounding 'clink'. Lestat looked at her as she lifted a hand to place it against his chest, gently
trailing to his neck. He closed his eyes as her nails trailed along his throat he exposed to her. She smiled faintly, sighing and embracing him.
He opened his eyes to look at her with something like curiosity and surprise, holding her gently as she seemed to enjoy being in his arms.
She pulled away some to look up at him and give a faint weak smile. "I forgive you, you damned rock God." She finally obliged to his question of forgiveness,
slowly returning to the way she was.
He held her chin with his thumb and index finger, kissing her softly. She looked at him with surprise before kissing back firmly, her arms folding around his neck.
He curled his fingers in her dark hair, tasting her mouth curiously, teeth gently worrying at her lower lip.
Ana felt herself grin as he continued to kiss and bite, letting her torso melt into his as she raised herself up some in his grip.
Lestat squeezed her waist tightly, hoisting her so he now hugged her hips as she knotted her fingers in his fair hair and kissed him longingly, biting at his lips pleadingly.
She pulled away some to stroke his hair gently. His mouth fell on her neck greedily, his sharp teeth worrying at her bared throat as he crushed her to his chest.
Ana dug her nails into his shoulder out of habit when his teeth found the vein in her throat; Lestat kissed at her throat, gently puncturing the skin as he drank from her.
She clung to his back, nails digging into his shirt, and her legs hooking around his waist as he drank slowly from her throat.
He stopped drinking after a few torturous moments, licking at her throat to speed up the healing process her body was already enacting.
"Old habits die hard, don't they?" She wondered of him once he'd stopped drinking.
"That they do, Ana dearest." He replied, absently playing with her hair.
Ana smiled slightly. "Lestat, don't get me wrong, please. I know you've... "loved" - suppose it's the right term - others before me. And
I know you've awoken Akasha by now, but just do me a favor. Please?" She requested, pulling away slightly to hold his face and look at him.
"What is it?" He dared wonder, briefly surprised that she'd ask a favor of him, the vampire she'd loathed and mistrusted in the past.
She smiled sadly. "Don't forget me, Lestat." She requested quietly, gingerly stroking his cheek.
Lestat raised a brow. "I can't promise anything," he squeezed her hips. "But I'll try." He answered.
She nodded and kissed his forehead gently, repaying him for his kisses on her own forehead...
