The deafening roar of the electric guitar and thundering drums came to a screeching halt as one of them lunged for him, impaled on the spot with the mic stand.
A few mortal shrieks of fear erupted in the crowd.
Both Ancient and fledgling flitted to the stage.
She stormed past the older vampire towards him. "You idiotic fool, he almost got you!" She scolded furiously.
He ignored her to assure the audience, raising his arms high as if feigning the attack was merely 'part of the show'.
Two more brash immortals flew onto the stage whilst they believed him to be distracted.
Silver glinted at her side as she sliced one of them clean in a diagonal 'swish'. "Marius," She declared, tossing him a dagger, drawing a spare from her side as he
caught it expertly.
The first one missed as he flipped sideways in the air. "Lestat!" She tossed him the spare dagger.
The trio regrouped after dealing with a few more vampires.
"'Surprised you fight, Marius. I thought you were just part of the history books," Ana mused, sword held in hand as the horde of vampires had closed in on them.
"Looks can be deceiving." Marius replied patiently.
She delivered a sharp punch to the 'rock god' on her right.
He scowled furtively at her. "What was that for?" He growled.
"For pulling this accursed stunt. If you don't die first, I'll throttle you and do the job myself." Ana snapped angrily.
An amused smirk fell on his lips. "I'd like to see you try, Ana dearest." Lestat remarked.
As the horde drew closer, two of the vampires suddenly burst into flames on the right.
More soon met the ill fate of their comrades-in-arms until they were bodies of ash.
She lowered her blade as both male vampires on either side stayed their hands.
So she truly had awakened.
...: :...
"I will not." Marius finally answered.
"I refuse." She growled lowly, glowering at their Mother, their Goddess.
She turned to her new 'king'. "Do you love me?" She asked of him.
"Yes," he answered quietly. She glared at him, ignoring the feeling of her heart plunging itself into the abyss at his answer to her question.
"Then kill her." Akasha ordered, extending a hand towards her.
He met her blue gaze; she hissed lowly, fingering the hilt of her sword. "She is nothing to me," he told her quietly.
"All the same, kill her for me." She growled, throwing her a contemptuous glare.
She bared her teeth and hissed threateningly as he stepped forward...
